Loser in Oklahoma U.S. House primary claims his opponent is a body double

So, Tim Murray is protesting the results of this week’s election, because he is claiming that the victor, Representative Frank Lucas, well… isn’t. Instead, he claims that the real Frank Lucas was killed in 2011 in Ukraine.

The truly good stuff comes from the man’s campaign website, where he promises, among other things “[he] will NEVER use Artificial Intelligence look alike to voice what The Representative’s Office is doing nor own a robot look alike.”

Typical politician… delivering promises that he doesn’t intend to keep.

Oh, good. He ran two years ago as a Democrat but switched to the Republican party this time around. Well, that’s good, because I think we all know that Democrats are soft on the robot-look-alikes issue.

It’s Oklahoma; I’ve lost the capability of surprise when it comes to that neck of the woods.

He has some kind of mold problem:

Has he tried bleach, I wonder? I’ve had good luck getting rid of mold with Clorox.

So, is he saying that the Department of Defense can prove he hasn’t committed incest?

You know, if he’s right, nobody will ever believe him.

People thinking someone has been replaced by a “double”, even though the accusation is completely absurd, is often a sign of brain malfunction. Though usually it is a close relative, not a political opponent.

they are.

there was a former president and first lady who weren’t the humans they appeared to be.

“often?” :dubious:

How often is it not a sign of brain malfunction?

Richard Nixon was a Reptilian. I believe that has been proven.

Could be simply that he’s messing with you all.

Or, more seriously - not all delusions or bizzare paranoid theories are actually signs of organic damage to the brain. It just so happens that this one is a well-recognized and stereotypical one that often is.

Specifically it’s called Capgras delusion. Of course I don’t know if Capgras really identified this illness - it could’ve been his double.

I guess we should make Frank Lucas take the Voight-Kampff test.

  1. I initially read that as crapgas delusion, and wondered if it was a problem related to inhaling exceedingly strong fumes (like from the NorthEast corner of the parking lot at Neptune’s Net).

  2. Aren’t there candidacy requirements in our laws that require nominees to be sane? I mean, I had a friend who was told, “If you have your son institutionalized as part of the treatment for his violent outbursts, he will never be allowed to run for President.” She responded, “Oh! I can protect him from that, too? Where do I sign?”

–G!

Under his list of achievements / accomplishments he’s:

It’s sealed, people. So, don’t worry about someone tearing your arm off and shipping it off to space. Tim’s got your back!

And… 5.2% of Oklahomans voted for this man, sez the article.

According to this election results (scroll down) 3,442 people voted for Tim Murray.:eek::eek:

Hell, he’s still better than the mayor in my city - Rob Ford.

Nobody wants to end up being merely ornamental.

Wake up, people. I don’t care how much you mock me, I still say they replaced Prime Minister Bonforte with a body double.
