New poll of top 5 pub candiates:
Mitt Romney 21%
Rudy Giuliani 17%.
Sam Brownback 15%
Newt Gingrich 14%
John McCain, 12%,
You can tell the Republican candidates are pro-family because they have 10 marriages among them. Jerks.
More marriages make more families. Hence, pro-family.
Newt’s not a candidate, and may never be.
 Newt & Rudy are skewing the stats.
I get the impression that Brownback does not actually treat women like Kleenex. Of course, he & Romney have their own “religious oddball” problems.
I agree with your thesis: divorce is usually a bad thing, and reflects poorly on those who have had them.
But they’re all guys! I thought they were opposed to same-sex marriage.
Why should straight people do all the suffering?
For those keeping score at home:
Mitt Romney - one marriage - married from 1968 to the present
Rudy Giuliani - three marriages - first marriage lasted from 1968-1982 and was annulled; second marriage from 1984-2000 ended in divorce; married current wife in 2003 (bonus adultery points for dating his second wife during his first marriage and his third wife during his second marriage)
Sam Brownback - one marriage
Newt Gingrich - three marriages - first marriage lasted from 1962-1980 and ended in divorce; second marriage lasted from 1981-1999 and ended in divorce; married current wife in 2000 (like Giuliani, he dated his second wife during his first marriage and his third wife during his second marriage)
John McCain - two marriages - first marriage lasted from 1965-1980 and ended in divorce; married his current wife in 1980 (dated his current wife during his first marriage)
And the other Republican candidates:
John Cox - one marriage
Duncan Hunter - one marriage - married since 1973
Mike Huckabee - one marriage - married since 1976 (trivia note - his wife’s maiden name was McCain)
Having fucked multiple women will help them rape the nation. Lower inhibitions.
What about Ron Paul? He & Carol seem to have been married for … 40-odd years?
Help me out here. Why are you pitting these people? Is it because they’ve remarried - if so, I don’t understand why that makes them bad people.
I like that; they are not divorced, they’re re-married. Kind of like “pre-owned” cars. They didn’t cheat on their wives, they “recycled their affection”.
I’m pitting these clowns because they belong to a party that talks about traditional values and the importance of the family, but doesn’t back it up. It’s like the chicken hawks attacking Kerry and Max Cleland, both decorated war heroes, for being unpatriotic.
Here is a blurb on Gingrich from Wikipedia:
Hmm, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Battley.” kinda rings a bell, can’t imagine conservatives having a problem with a president who would say something like that.
Yeah, Newt for Prez!
CMC fnord!
Uh, it’s fairly common usage. It might be, as you say, wishy-washy, but it’s common enough.
Thanks for the summary. I pay just enough attention to such things for it to have bugged me later.
It’s even better than that-
McCain from a Salon article

According to Donna Hanover,** Giuliani** attended public functions with his then girlfriend before his children were even told about the marriage breakup.
At least they end of marrying them, Dems like Bill Clinton just fucked em and left them. A later trip to the altar is family values. I bet Monica Lewinsky would have killed for a box of chocolates the next day.
I didn’t realize Republicans always married every woman they boinked.
Or at least some breath mints.
