GeoCities don’t allow remote linking - you need to right click on the link, copy the link address and paste it into a new browser window, then the image should show up.

The first time I saw this was my first day as a computer tech. It was on the office door of one of the other techs and after introducing myself I said “I like the sign on your door.”
To which he gave me a weird look and replied, “Which one?”
Well, there was only one sign on his door, but regardless I pointed at it and said “There are two types of people on the world…”
He gave me this look like he really, really had to take a dump and said “It says ten types of people…”
I never got along with that guy. He blasted Christian rock music all day and then later got fired for missing work too much because he kept landing in jail after beating his wife.

I was wondering the same thing.
Here’s a thought experiment for you, though. Webcam images change periodically, this is what they do. Suppose I changed the picture to something less appropriate for this forum. Desmostylus’s post would be providing a direct link to content that’s against the SDMB rules. Does he get banned, or do I? Do I now have to regulate what images I put up for my webcam because Desmostylus direct linked to it?

Not expecting disagreement so much as I’m getting used to it these days. I have a tendency to express myself rather abruptly at times and often in support of the unpopular position. I’ve found the boards to be a bit rigid lately. Many times I’ve attempted to debate a point (regardless of my personal opinion)…a point which has merit and should be considered IMO, only to be chastised for doing so. With no attention given to the facts and/or cites provided to support my position.

Since…and afaik, we (you & I) haven’t had any common threads with one another, I just thought I’d introduce a little bit of myself. Anyone intentionally referring to themselves as the anti-Christ in today’s world, is hmmm… no emoticon for what I’m thinking. Try a combination of several. Which I suppose implies a multiple personality or at least someone with many levels to their personality. Maybe someone who just don’t give a shit and/or likes to cause a stir. I know you can’t actually be Satan because he was banned from here a long time ago, right?
