Uh oh.
UPS tried to deliver a package today but no one was home to sign for it. :smack:
Mine is off to the Land Down Under. It’s a bit late, but there is fun stuff in there from the Great White North, so please forgive me, gentle recipient.
I was the happy recipient of a package from Plymouth via the Royal Mail. A lovely shot glass for my collection and a couple of key chains (anyone who borrows a key from me is going to have questions 
) and a decoration for my Christmas tree. Every tree needs a crown, even in the colonies. Well done and thank you. Oh! And there was a rubber sea creature, which really tickles my sense of whimsy. I feel like I might hide it around the house and wait for the boyfriend to notice that there is a tiny stingray everywhere he turns.
Got work yesterday they they sent the bottle but forgot the shotglass :smack:
It’s on the way now.
I still have no package.

I don’t want to know, actually, not until it arrives.
Sorry for my absenteeism… I’ll follow up with all of those who haven’t sent theirs yet and make sure it goes out ASAP.

My wife waited all day (until 530) for the UPS guy, then left to get labJR at daycare.
Guess when they showed up? :smack::mad: Third attempt.
Off to the UPS Center tomorrow - No worries - lucky for me it’s close by in Myrtle Beach.
Actually the liquor store shipped it out. I’m assuming UPS but it will definitely come in 2 deliveries.

And the kangaroo jerky (!) was totes awesome for 2 reasons:

My wife thinks kangaroos are cuddly and sweet like Disney cartoons, and therefore wouldn’t even look at the jerky. I got all of it to myself, and it was fantastic stuff!

I chased my wife around the house while brandishing the jerky because I am secretly 5 years old.
The rum was very different to our western-hemisphere rum. It had much more intense rum flavour, most of the rums from the Americas have a diminished flavour. Fantastic to try. I have been sipping it neat out of respect for the quality.

If an internet factoid is to be believed, Australia is the only country that eats the animals on it’s coat of arms. (I couldn’t find any emu jerky unfortunately)
I am fascinated with the idea that you’re respecting Bundy* Rum for its quality. Here in Queensland its reputation is as a bit of a bogan (redneck) drink. Usually taken in the form of a Bundy & Coke. (as in Coca Cola). Or a Dark and Stormy has become quite popular, which is Bundy Rum and Ginger Beer.
- Ignore the label, if you want to sound like a real Aussie, it is simply Bundy Rum, not Bundaberg. And speaking of the label, I have no idea how a polar bear became the mascot for a drink brewed in tropical Central Queensland.
Not even the recipient, and I loved that bit of local color!
