Wait, Silvorange and Baker got basically the same package from 2 different senders?
It could have been one sender sent twice, I’m not sure who my giver was but I got the stuff from fepptytweed. But I’ve not check back through this thread, feppty may have sent the same pack in a past exchange. I’ve noted that other players have done this.
I once got stuff from Silvorange. You should pray they are your giver sometime, and a mini Lousville slugger is often included, I’ve noted that when other folks squee over being gifted by Silvo.
TGIF and I are married. She just got two of everything when she went to the gift shop.
Did she share the chocolates I gave to her?
I’m married too, and as the saying goes, What’s hers is hers, and what’s yours is hers.
I can hear the chocolate covered pecans callin my name, enticing me to break my diet. The tequila too. Well, the weekend will come again.
Ah! That explains it.
I was about to recommend that everybody involved go out and buy lottery tickets.
But they’ve already won the lottery, they found each other and now they’re expecting!
Mine arrived today!
It’s a lovely personalised shot glass, with my name on it, and the Niagara Falls, and Whiskey Dickens has flouted the international postage and tax laws by also sending a small bottle of locally made whisky, which tastes great, even if it comes in a squeezy bottle.
Glad you received it Teuton! My apologies for sending it late.
LOL’d at “squeezy bottle.” Just don’t put it on your hotdogs!
feppytweed, I got the website for those chocolate covered pecans, and, after looking them over, I’ve decided already on what my mother’s Christmas present will be. She loves pecans, especially ones covered with that sugary and crunchy coating. There are several varieties of those.
So you gave them some extra business!
I wish I had been able to include their brochure, but the box was packed tight!
I am wondering if mine ever made it. The tracking showed delivered and signed for by " Receptionist" .
But had an E-mail while I was on a cruise a couple of weeks ago, asking if I ever sent it.
Maybe me. Never received one. Do not have a receptionist at my house, but I don’t know what the dog does when I’m not around.
Franklin ST, in IN ?
If so I will send another.
No, that user got theirs.
I’m sending one more follow up, then if no word, we’ll get Tiktaalik a replacement.
This almost makes it a zombie resurrect, and I’m sure my sender was probably thinking I’m an ungrateful so and so, but I quite literally only just received my package. Going by the postal marks it’s taken just over two months to get to me.
Very much worth the wait though, with a very impressive collection of goodies, Thank You so much. (I don’t have your doper name, but you know who you are). I haven’t tried the maple syrup treats yet, but they look interesting.
I am glad it finally arrived. I was starting to worry that perhaps customs had confiscated it due to the liquor. Maple treats are seasonal and a personal favourite. Those ones were made locally to me. I bought them at the farmer’s market near my house. I hope you enjoy them.
Second year in a row that you’ve received maple syrup candies, I believe? I sent some to you last year too.
ETA: Although mine were the standard tourist fare, not small batch local stuff like minion’s.
It is. I could be off-base, still not having tried one yet, but the ones Minion has sent appear to be a fudgy consistency rather than the hard almost boiled lolly style you kindly sent my way last time.
I’m beginning to wonder if there is a vast Canadian conspiracy I’ve stumbled into, to convert the world into Canucks via subtle Maple Syrup inoculations. Not that I’d mind terribly, after my one trip to Canada some years back I thought Canadians were very similar to Aussies.
We’re converting people into Canadians via the SDMB exchanges! (It’s taking longer than we thought)
Ouch!
