10th Republican presidential debate tonight 02/25/16

It’s too bad Wolf was overwhelmed with those 3 guys on the stage because it would have been nice to let that discussion continue. Or maybe even ask Ted Cruz directly what his position is on people dying in the streets.

I’ve just realized something: Trump has no filter and his money makes him accountable to no one. Of course the GOP establishment didn’t attack him, they all want to BE him! Trump is the final form of all who take up the mantle of Republican. He’s their Nirvana, their goal. His constituents get a high watching him insult people because they imagine themselves doing it! No wonder none of the attacks have stuck. It must be a dream for uneducated people to be able to say crap, get called on it, and not give a damn because you have so much money it doesn’t matter

He had time. “Who is gonna pay for it?” was what he thought he should go with.

Eight years ago when Obama first took office, did any one of us foresee that the Donald and two gentlemen of Hispanic antecedents would be the Republican frontrunners in the race to replace him? Hillary was foreseeable all the way. But these three? I’m still not sure my mind is processing this as reality.

Trump is the Republican id.

And we know to beware of the Monsters of the Id…
But yeah, the Christie endorsement will clear out the debate discussion quicker than I think Rubio or Cruz wants, IMHO. Don’t think it’ll make that big a deal in the Southern states, but if Christie does any support in the NE, could help the Donald pick up even more delegates.

Can I please wake up now?

Not particularly smart either – doesn’t need to be what with the current GOP field.

Kind of like the Handicapped Olympics. Trump has the larger captive audience.

Facebook post today (2/26/16) from the mother of a five year old:
At drop-off today, I told Sam that he needs to take turns, don’t call names and play nice with others, or else he will have to run for president.

That’s what an article in Politico claimed.

It makes no sense. After Citizens United, Super Pacs could raise unlimited funds from wholly anonymous donors. You only need to create a shell company. Or two if you are paranoid. I think the underlying explanation is that while The Party Decides is usually true, it’s also the case that the party can be hacked.

It’s hard to sort out what is the most important effect but consider the following. 1) Trump has no ties to the Republican Party, owes them nothing, doesn’t care about burning bridges, has 15 years experience with television and 40 years with the tabloid media. 2) Legislators hate Cruz worse than Trump which is quite an accomplishment for Cruz and quite a bit of luck for Trump. 3) The “Party” are somewhat incompetent. See previous posts. Even now, nobody is really taking down the Donald except maybe Rubio. And he’s just one guy whose been at it for less than 24 hours now.
