The same thing happened a few years ago with the PS2.
You know folks, the Xbox 360 you can buy next spring when supplies are up to normal will be exactly the same as the one you can pay 2-4 times for now.

It’s not that it doesn’t go anywhere, it’s just that apparently eBay removed the listing presumably for a TOS violation of some sort. Of course, there’s tons of others out there, like this one. One born every minute, indeed!

I wonder if anyone will try the old “sell the box the game came in and rip somebody off” trick like they did when the PS2 was hot?
For $10,000, I’d expect them to be on the next flight out with it to deliver in person. Instead, they can’t even be bothered to take it to Kinkos to have it shipped?

Whoa. I need to try that when the PS3 comes out. Get the system and everything that came with it, then sell just the box for possibly more than I paid in the first place? Where can I place that pre-order again?
I don’t believe it hit this high of a price. I think $1000 tops and only for a couple of days, and after that it settled to about $500.
I’m just amazed that someone’s going to pay $2750 for one of those things.
What really amazes me is that people are selling empty boxes for double the retail price of the actual item which will include the box for free.
