Hi, curious why your mind went to “translation”? I just “commented,” which here (my first time) looks like “Reply” or “Share.”
A general observation: On many social network sites there is a hierarchy of „post" and „comment":

I’m not sure how a curved-back arrow with the word “Reply” next to it would look like “share”. A “share” icon usually looks like a water molecule, with three circles connected by two lines.

If you’re only looking at the icon though (especially on a small screen), then yes, the reply icon can just look like a flipped share icon as used on a number of sites, including youtube. Again, there it has “share” in text next to the icon.
You’re right that on some sites and apps, it used to or may still look like a variant of this:

People around here can get very picky about sloppy spelling and punctuation. This isn’t Reddit.
People who get picky about spelling and grammar can also be paid little attention.
English is my third language. I wouldn’t mind being corrected but not bully replies Reddit/X style with " Worning"?

I just asked a question which proved there are posts with actual " comment " button.
One comment even worned me.
I reported both. Englishisn’t my 1st language but I don’t like getting 12 replies with no grammar correction..
