#2 Oregon trailing unranked Arizona - 3rd quarter

Yeah…the downside of last night’s upset is that USC will probably wind up in the Rose Bowl. Again. The thought of the mighty Toejams relegated to the Holiday Bowl just warms my heart.

Wouldn’t Oregon have the tie breaker in the PAC-10, as they beat USC?

True, if both teams win out they’d both be 7-2 in conference play, and UO beat USC. But with Dixon hurt, the chances of UO winning out dropped dramatically. Regardless…I’m rooting for ASU over USC on thanksgiving. If ASU wins out, they go to the Rose Bowl.

I didn’t know that was an option. Where do I sign up?

It would have been Kansas’ last home game if they hadn’t moved it to Arrowhead. Next year Missouri will be the home team at Arrowhead. Then hopefully the year after that they bring the games back home.

Why? The Florida - Florida St. game flourishes for being in a neutral site. I dislike the move of the Iron Bowl away from Birmingham. And the Army - Navy game also gets some help from the neutral site, in my opinion.

Isn’t that a totally different comparison? I mean, Oklahoma / Texas play at a neutral site every year too; but in this case we’re talking about conference championship game. I think it’s good to move that around to the different stadiums in the conference.

Florida and Florida State don’t play in a neutral site. This year’s game is in Gainesville.

Florida vs Georgia is played in Orlando.

Jacksonville, isn’t it?

Yeah, Jacksonville.

Eventually, we’ll get this right!

But the game under discussion is Kansas v. Missouri, NOT the conference championship, which moves around (and is in Texas somewhere, IIRC).

And I guess I was mistaken; I thought Florida St. and Florida played at a neutral site. Oops. I guess I was thinking Florida v. Georgia.
