20 minutes and you’re finished with your prostitute already? Why not just masturbate?

The driver is there for two reasons. To make sure the girl stays safe, and to make sure the girl gets paid. The former is accomplished by banging on the door and yelling “I’m calling 911” if you hear a scream/scuffle/she runs way over time without checking in/etc. The latter is accomplished by intimidating the client if he tries to stiff the provider. Thus drivers are almost always large men.

Unlike most sexual relationships the dynamics of the prostitute/client are built around mistrust. Even bar pick-up/one-night stands have implicit trust. Mistrust changes the whole dynamic. A girl could have a pistol in her purse(and often does in shadier parts of town). A guy could have a bottle of chloroform or a gun(think Craigslist killer). On the other hand, ten seconds worth of brandishing a gun could get the prostitute their fee and they could be gone without ever having to sleep with this random guy. So the client is wary and the provider is wary. The client usually has physical size and strength on their side(assuming male client and female provider). So the prostitute needs backup. Going to a unknown room to meet a unknown person to engage in illicit activities gets people dead sometimes, so if you don’t want to be dead/robbed. They’re also going to be in a very vulnerable position at some point in the activities, even if everything goes according to plan, so help needs to be a scream away, and no further.

On the other hand, the guy and girl may do everything contracted to do, and the guy refuse to pay at the end of the session. That’s when she gets dressed, walks to the door like she’s going to leave, signals to her driver, who comes in and threatens to beat the cash out of the client. It’s really her only choice. It’s not like she can call the cops and take the client to court for stiffing her on an illegal transaction. So a bully boy is her best bet to ensure she gets her due for the deed.

Enjoy,
Steven

Thanks **Mtgman. **What I was asking, though, is what happens when the security/driver is needed to go to the aid of the girl at the OP’s hotel. It seems like just banging on the door or threatening to call the cops wouldn’t be enough to stop a determined assault and I guess I was thinking that a Good Samaritan law wouldn’t shield a co-perpetrator from the police.

Say you start beating a ho, she screams, then immediately some dude starts hammering on the door and yelling he’s going to beat your ass/call the cops. A sudden realization dawns. Most hotel rooms only have one entrance/exit. There’s only one way out, and that’s through the angry dude/cops. Plus it will rapidly attract hotel security/staff, who can open the door if need be. You’ve got about five minutes, tops, for your determined assault, and then you are facing almost certain capture, and probably a beating.

The driver isn’t concerned about being arrested. He probably wouldn’t be. It’s not a crime to drive someone to a place and wait while they are inside. Taxis do it all the time. Even if he was charged with conspiracy to facilitate prostitution, that’s not a big deal. Prostitution is a misdemeanor in most states. You’re looking at a fine, probably of $1000 or less. If the driver was a pimp who was abusing the girls or keeping them strung out on drugs, then it may be a hazard for them to bang on the door and get the cops involved, but even then the person beating/killing the hooker inside would be the major focus of the law enforcement team.

No, the driver is a very effective protection mechanism, and they make good money to be so.

As to the 20 minutes, I have never used a prostitute but once a guy I worked with told a story about when he and a couple of buddies went to a local whorehouse. One of the guys came back out a bit prematurely, if you follow my drift, yelling, “What do you mean, ‘the one-come rule’”?

Really ? A man who waits on a prostitute and seems to know her well, in the eyes of the police might be very well her pimp…

Or maybe it just accounts for really nice landscaping in modest neighborhoods.

That’s just a guess. From a roaring sexual tyrannosaurus. With a bad lawn.

Actually, the driver is the employee of the call girl, versus the other way around. So it’s very much unlike the pimp/ho relationship. The driver is more like a bodyguard. The pimp sets appointments for the provider and determines where and when they work. The driver has none of these roles, and in fact can be fired by the provider. If you see a man standing around in a hallway late at night and ask him if you can book his girl when she’s done, if he starts negotiating then he’s a pimp. If he says “call the agency or give me your number and I’ll pass it on to her” then he’s a driver.

Employee : Employer :: Driver : Provider
Employee : Employer :: Ho : Pimp

Therein lies all the difference in the world. I fully support the criminalization of pimps. I don’t think it should be illegal for a provider to hire a driver who will support and protect them, and I don’t think it is, but IANAL.

Was she in her 60s?

Not sure. It was really dark and there was a lot of pressure on me.

Was it Mary Ann?

Ask the guy who used to frequent hookers!

Damned if I know. I’m not sure where ‘hundreds of dollars’ got into the thread, but if I were single and paying a prostitute hundreds of dollars, I’d certainly expect some foreplay and afterplay as part of the deal.

The logic of wanting a quick blowjob and then she’s out the door, that I understand, but it’s not the sort of thing I can see many guys paying the big bucks for.

I stayed in Dublin for six weeks on business once. My friend (no, really) partook of some of the local call-in services. They would just show up in the hotel lobby (strangely enough, the woman was always unaccompanied), and the lobby would call up to the room to make sure he was expecting a visitor before letting her upstairs.

At least once, she just showed up at the hotel room door with no prior call.

I had the (mis)fortune to have a conversation with a sex addict at a bar once. He said he was addicted to Craigslist hookers. Curious (because, hey, its not like Craigslist is the classiest website, and I’ve heard dating trainwreck stories out of it) I asked him about the process.

He told me the Craigslist hookers generally charged ~200 on average for 1 hour. He said he would call the number, and they would give what hotel/motel they were at. He’d drive there and call again, and they’d say what floor they were on, he called a third time, when they would tell him the room. I guess this gave the prostitute a safeguard in case they felt unsafe and also ensured that the john in question was actually going to arrive.

Regardless of the amount of time, once you blew your load, you were done. I read somewhere (no cite, sorry) that many prostitutes will have a john pay for an hour but finish in 5-15 minutes. Their ‘lowest’ time rate is usually the least cost-effective, so it gets the john to throw the 200 bucks, plus tip (tip? I thought the 200 bucks was the tip! :stuck_out_tongue: ) but if the john was quick on the trigger the prostitute wasn’t about to hang around for 55 minutes to ‘talk’, when she could get another john and do the same thing.

The article linked is the second time I’ve heard of ‘girlfriend experience’. Mr. SexAddict had mentioned it too- says they’ll kiss you on the mouth and talk about how great of a lover you were. He said the problem was that pretty much all the prostitutes that provided that barely spoke english. I asked him what he felt about women he slept with that were being exploited/underage/etc. He said it made him feel guilty, but not guilty enough to stop :frowning: .

Pretty weird conversation to have at a bar, honestly :dubious:
