Every now and then, I’ll walk past the championship trophies here at UK. If I can count right, then we still have 4 more of these trophies than Duke.
I’m trying to think of a good reason to pick an upset over UConn but am drawing a blank so far. ‘Wishful thinking’ isn’t a good reason.
Hell, I’m a Duke fan and I hate Laettner. Talentless hack rode Hurley’s coattails all the way. If it weren’t for Hurley and Hill, they never woulda won that year, clutch shot or no. There’s a reason Laettner had a chance to make that shot, and it sure wasn’t due to his efforts.
I’m in, and continuing the tradition of “at least one team from the Big Ten makes it to the Final Four in my magical gumdrop world”. I think Ohio State could pull it off, though.

I think you may be right Tsarina. I didn’t pick them to go to the Final Four, I didn’t like their effort in the game against Iowa. But, they are a good team, and will probably prove me wrong.

Well, I came in 24th of 25 in the SDMB pool last year with an astoudingly poor 12% correct, so if you were the one below me, welcome back 
I am in again (Shattered Brackets), and while my picks are a bit heart-based, I hope to get closer to the 84% I put up the year prior. Of course, UConn won that year, which certainly helped…
Also, I didn’t do it in this pool, but in all the pools I’m in using upset scoring systems, I’m taking Winthrop over Tennessee. Just putting that out there to help the Vols win by 40 and/or make a deep run.

For fun, other than my team Kansas going to the Final Four, I’m trying a new strategy. I’m picking all the higher seeds in every round. Forget the 5/12 upsets or underrated Gonzaga or George Washington or overrated Tennessee and Ohio State.
