I hear you, Ginger. I weighed in this morning, and was .2 pounds down. So basically, I’ve been at the same weight for the last two weeks. I really hope this isn’t the start of a plateau.
Was very good all day. Tomorrow the guys are coming to watch the game, but I expect I’ll still be pretty good. We’ll see.
Welp, I lost me a pound overnight. I expect I’ll yoyo a bit, but if I lose another half pound, that’ll make it SEVENTY FIVE pounds that I’ve lost. I wish the damned loose skin would magically disappear. Lemme tell ya, that shit looks awful in tight yoga shorts.
No kidding. Will it ever really adjust?
I don’t know. If it isn’t gone in a year (in which I will work on toning), then I’ll start to look at surgery. Opal had to have it done after her bariatric surgery; I think that losing pretty close to the same amount as her has had the same effect on me and it won’t go away with exercise. But we’ll see.
I weighed in this morning at 192.2, so after a week staying steady, I lost 2.2 pounds. I went out to dinner with my husband and the kids, and did pretty well trying to balance the carbs and the proteins, although as a whole, it was too many calories. Didn’t seem to hurt much though.
The medical front is not going swimmingly. I have patellofemoral syndrome (hopefully spelled correctly), which basically means my kneecaps hate me. I have to set up physical therapy for the next 4-6 weeks. That means I have to be careful working out, but I can do the treamill without an incline, and the elliptical trainer since it’s non-impact.
Also, my endo just upped my Synthroid to my highest levels ever, meaning that for the past few weeks my metabolism was shot to hell, and he put me on low dose corticosteroids for an adrenal disorder I have. Steroids can make you gain weight. [Insert curses I’m too tired to come up with.] Well, maybe the higher dosage of Synthroid will balance out the low dose of steriods.
Are your knees likely to recover or are they always going to bother you?
What does endo mean in this usage? I thought Endo was a Doctor that did Endoscopies?
I have had a good week. The scale said 197.5 today. My new low point.
Jim
Good job, Jim. I hit my new lowest ever yesterday, 181.5. It’s up to 182 this morning, but it’ll be down in another day or so.
Congrats on your new low, Jim. Endo is endocrinologist, otherwise known as “the hormone guy.”
The knees are supposed to get better but I have to find out from the physical therapist if I’ll have to do whatever exercises they show me forever or not.
177 for real today. 84% there.
WTG!!
Another good week as far as eating goes. Tomorrow the guys may come over for the game, so I may have some beer and chips and stuff, but last week I was good and I anticipate being so this week.
Hello all. I have had a few challenges over the past two weeks. First of all, my workout partner was out of town for a week. Then I went on a camping trip with the college class from my church, and the diet was OUT THE WINDOW! Serious foodage. Hamburgers, hotdogs, bratwursts, bacon, eggs, corned beef hash, s’mores…
Then I came back for a week and ate right, but didn’t run. I finally weighed in after those 2 weeks…down 2 pounds and some change. I ate a bag of sunflower seed the day before, so I was probably holding a lot of excess water on top of all that, which should flush out. If I was on the program I would have been down probably 3 or 4 more, but ya gotta live right?
I am back on track now. But it did illustrate how easily I could slip from my program.
And then there are those of us who are hostage to our biology, and wake up two or three pounds heavier just outta the blue, once a month or so. I ENJOY BEING A GIRL. No, REALLY. I was a half pound away from 75 pounds lost. I suppose technically I had made it, since my beginning scale didn’t have 1/2 pound increments, but DAMN IT ALL.
It’ll be gone in a few days. Hopefully by Tuesday, as that’s when I had set the deadline for my goal.
You do seem a little boated today.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>newcrasher runs
I’ve changed my work lunch around a bit, dumping the yogurt and getting some soup and dried fruit.
That, plus the twice-weekly cycling class seems to have kick started my metabolism again, since I lost another three pounds last week. I gained one back, but I think I’m getting past my plateua and heading down again.
You can run, but I’ll bet just about anything that I can run faster pissed off than you can run scared.
Also, HA HA, you said I look boated.
I finally broke the 180 pound barrier! 178 pounds as of this morning.
So, 28 pounds down, 38 to go…
I was already fleeing the scene before I had finished my sentence…
Woohoo! Way to go!
