Sep 1st: 287# (-10)
Oct 1st: 281# (-6)
Nov 1st: 269# (-12)
Dec 1st: 263.5# (-5.5)
Jan 1st: 260.0# (-3.5)
Feb 1st: 253.2# (-6.8)

Apr 1st: 247.8# (-1.0)
May 1st: 244.4# (-3.4)
Jun 1st: 243.0# (-1.4)

(Same comment made last month): Still eating moderately, but only exercising once a week. Many other activities interfering with my workouts…some good (coaching kids baseball), some bad (going out to a restaurant with yummy food). Still managed a loss for 11 straight months now.

~310/243/~200-210

171.5 this morning, back to my lowest weight. WTF. I’ll take it!

Take it and run with it. Five miles.

I’m tired of seeing this “Poor me, I’m still in the 170s” bullshit from the lovely ladies of the board. Y’all need to break the wall and go into 160 territory. Yeticus needs to break 240, I need to break 230. gigi, I’d love to see you fall in love with 2 new veggies this month! We can provide yummy recipes.

Brick walls suck, and we’re better than that. Can we see these new goals by the end of June? Who’s with me? Let’s show that blubber who’s in charge!

I’ll start us off. 100 minutes of exercise for me today. That’s 40 of weight, 40 of aerobic, and 20 of ab work. And if you’re worried about how I’ll fare, my parents are my next of kin. They’d appreciate flowers and a nice card. Eu-googli-ize me well, my friends.

Hi, everyone. I’ve lost 30.5 lbs since January, from 204 to 173.5 today. I swore off dieting forever and went for behavior mod instead (a la Intuitive Eating) .

I’m still terrible with exercize, though. :frowning:

You are all very inspiring. I’m glad to be here.

Welcome, chole. That’s awesome!

So-so news for us. I gained 1.6. I need to refocus…I’m a little adrift as far as actually keeping the program…

Hello chole, welcome to the club!

I’m sporadic with regards to these threads. I’m at 128 now, 8 more to go. I actually reached 126.5 at one point, but that was a temporary fluke. 125 was my weight the day I got married (13 years ago, age 20,) and I’m looking forward to reaching that weight again. I figured I’d push myself a little further, which was why I chose 120 as my goal weight. It’s still well within my acceptable weight range for my height (5’3").

Hey guys, I’m finally joining in on the thread now that I’m settled into my own home and can spend more time exercising. Today I went to the local civic center, which is mainly a fitness center and indoor basketball court/track; I bought a guest pass to try out the equipment and facilities, and I’ll definitely be buying an annual pass. At $150/year and only 5 miles from the house (and across the parking lot from the library), I can’t get a much better deal unless I invested in a home gym setup. (No room for that, though.) Did 20 minutes on the elliptical machine today, and was amazed at how easily winded I had become over the past six months of not getting anywhere near enough exercise. :smack: At least I’m working on it now, in addition to eating healthfully.

Current stats: 208 lbs., size 16, 5’9.5".
My goal? Well, I’d like to be a 10 or 12, and I have no clue what weight that is going to end up making me. It’s more than likely going to be in the 160s range, though. I’ve got a long way to go.

Something sparkly is in the corner dear…
I actually had a .2 lb gain this week, but then again I did overindulge in the alcohol over the holiday weekend. Well there is that and avoiding the actual work at the gym.

But I am much better now…

My starting weight was 383.8; I am down to 308 lbs, and I am 6’2" in my stocking feet. I have a ways to go to reach my goals, but I will get there eventually.

I’m trying, damn it! I’d love to be out on my bike this minute but the thunder and lightning is keeping me from it. Oh, I know what you’re thinking … excuses, excuses! Doesn’t want to get struck by lightning. What a big baby.

You don’t try, you do it! Move it move it move it!

Yes, drill sergeant, yes!

I already lost a good 0.1 today, and that’s just from hair. I’m trying out the skinhead look for a change.

And away we go with 100 minutes of ass-pounding exercise. It was nice knowing you all.

Alright, that’s it. I’m going to kick your ass. :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, I’m not - I’m going to help demo a swimming pool instead. That’s gotta be worth some calories.

I think we’d burn some calories if we kicked his ass too.

Ugh, I’m going up and down in the 160s now. I was 165.5 two weeks ago. Then last friday I weighed in at 162.5 and then today I am 166. But I’m in the middle of being bloated and crampy so I think things are not too good today.

But I’m grumpy and I don’t wanna work out and that makes me more grumpy. Plus, I want a hot fudge sundae.

I just kicked my own ass. 100 minutes. Dayum!

But I got results. Here’s an after photo of me.

Hi, gang. Massively morbidly obese person checking in here. I want to play (I think), but I am deeply ashamed of the stats.

Well, here goes. Watch as I flush the comforting anonymity of the internet down the toilet by letting you in on my ugly little secret.

I am a 45 year old female weighing (gag) 338.5 lbs as of this morning (the numbers on my digital scale tend to fluctuate a bit, but that’s the most consistent reading it gave me). I suspect this makes me the fattest person in this thread. As I am only 5’5" tall and am NOT the Jolly Green Giantess, things are looking grim in the fat department. I have many nasty obesity co-morbidities. I was supposed to get gastric bypass surgery on May 8th, but chickened out at the last minute (well, not literally at the last minute, but damned close to it). This was probably a mistake, as everyone and his uncle assures me that I’ll die without the surgery, and they may well be right. (This is not an attempt to open the doors to yet another debate on the merits of bypass surgery.) I know there are a number of very successful post-bypass (including DS) people on the Board and even in the weight loss “club.” I may go back to my doctor and beg him to operate on me, I may not. I don’t know.

Anyway, the good news is that the general trend for the past year and a half has been downward. I used to weigh approximately 399, so I’m about 60 lbs down from my max. I don’t know exactly how I lost that much weight without really trying, but apparently I did. I guess my weight was just so far above my natural set point that even the slightest changes made it start dropping. At any rate, for the moment I’m kind of drifting back and forth between just trying to eat less on some days and using Bariatrix brand V.H.P. meal replacement shakes on for two out of three meals on other days. On “shake days,” I frequently have steamed chicken and shrimp with Chinese vegetables (and without cornstarch or rice) for dinner, though I have backslidden recently and allowed the myriad temptations of Chinese take-out to get the better of me on more occasions than I care to recall.

I have nothing much else to say at the moment, but please wish me luck. Sorry for rambling on.

Hello Tenar. Welcome to the club! I’m glad you joined. I know what you are going through, as I have been morbidly obese myself. You *can *lose weight. Join us and we’ll help support each other!

No. I’m 5’9" and (at the moment) 420 pounds. I started at 450 on Thanksgiving of last year.

Glad to see you here Tenar!

Keep checking in with how you feel and how you’re doing. The people in this thread are incredibly insipiring (lookin’ at you Ginger) and whenever you need some encouragement or to share a small victory, we’re here.

You’ve lost 60 lbs! That’s awesome! And without changing a whole lot? Imagine the progress you can make when you really get things going.
