I’m in! See y’all here tomorrow.
Official June 1 weight 172.5. That represents a loss of… one pound for the month of May. I’m getting awfully tired of this and I think that I’m going to go off of the Wendie (where you vary the amount of points eaten per day) and go back to 22+Flex. Maybe that’ll help.
As of yesterday, I’m down another four pounds, for a total so far of 132lbs. lost. I now weigh 206, with a goal (pre-plastics) of somewhere between 190-175. After plastics, that should land me at 175-160.
I’m still hovering just right above 174. So much for being 168 by July 4. I might make it by Christmas. At this point though, I’m not in that big of a hurry. I’ve lost enough so that I look better and people tell me so. I’ve also begun to (gasp) enjoy exercising again and I don’t plan to give that up, ever. I’ve been pretty good about keeping my calories at a 500-cal. deficit every day, though I’m not against splurging now and then on special occasions (my nephew graduated from high school last weekend so I splurged and had some cake; and no, I’m not old enough to have an 18-year-old nephew so thanks for noticing )

I weighed in on Wednesday, and was up 3.0 from last week. It’s amazing what 4 days of vacation will do when yummy food is around. Even though I exercised 20 minutes every day and walked about 2-3 miles per day (and 2 hours of kayaking to boot), all that extra food really packed it on. I’ll weigh in again today, and take the best result as “actual.” My confidence is low.
On the other hand, when I returned from vacation, I was slightly distressed at how much my luggage weighed. Turns out it was close to 40 pounds. It amazes me to think that last year, I was carrying that sort of luggage all the time. And I wasn’t even smuggling souveniers in my belly!
My first time in a weight loss thread. <nervous> I’ve been on Nutrasystem for about five weeks now. I started at my all-time high of 317 and as of Monday I was at 295. I plan to weigh-in tonight at my friends’ house where the scale is. I’ve had a cold and not much appetite so I may be a few pounds lighter.
I know that it’s a temporary jumpstart and that I need to make fundamental changes in my attitude toward food, but it’s nice to be more comfortable in my clothes and have less weight on my joints as I move around. I am considering an inpatient program for eating disorders (compulsive overeating in my case) this fall when I have some time off.

It’s highly unlikely that you put on 3lbs. of actual fat in three days. You’d have to eat something like 10,000 calories in excess of what you actually need, to put on 3lbs. I’m not sayin’ you didn’t gain a little weight, but I’m betting at least some of it is fluid, and will come off quickly!

A cup of chowder, crackers and cheese, a lobster with drawn butter, potatoes, corn, bread and butter, cheesecake, and a couple of beers – That’s a fairly hearty breakfast!

I’m going to change my answer. As of today’s weigh-in, I’m up 0.9. After several consecutive weeks of losses, I can live with it.
Yeah, that’s closer to what I would have expected.
All right, I’m in, damn it. Goal: -5# in June.
I lost 7.4 pounds last month and am now 179.4. Most of that was in the first half of the month before I plateaued out. Thank you, body, for heeding my plea of getting off that plateau and start moving downward again. I’m sorry I called you stupid. (Please, can you try to be down to 170 by the Fourth of July?)
Welcome, gigi. It took me a moment to realize that you hadn’t posted here before because I’m so used to seeing your name elsewhere on the board. You seem like an old friend. Good luck with your weight loss!
