2007 "Worst/Stupidest Image on the Internet" Nominations

<snerk> That’s how I interpreted it too!

Is that intended to represent the rainbow bridge concerning dog people and dead pets?

Horrifyingly, I’m fairly certain which example of freeform poetry this image was intended to illustrate.

After a quick search, I find that this subject has been portrayed by numerous other artists, each of whom bring their own unique sensibilities to the topic.

This is possibly my favorite, at least in concept. It’s an illustration for a heartwarming “Rainbow Bridge” fanfic in which the late victims of 9/11 are all gifted with angelic stray puppies and kittens as they enter Heaven.
peep? meow? i’m so f-'n confused.

Bah.

Yes, carnivorousplant! THAT picture CLEARLY alludes to “Rainbow Bridge.” Not the one with the DOGS IN THE SKY and the F-'N RAINBOW. OBVIOUSLY, someone was grieving over the loss of their PET TIGER…

Rotten, lousy… Steal my thunder with a joke while I’m linking stuff… endure all those crap MIDI files for NOTHING…

Well, gee, if they’d let us edit our posts, I could’ve fixed that.

Rainbow Bridge fanfic??

A genre of literature inspired by other efforts, usually television programs, not known for originality, cleverness or the general ability of the author.

It occurs to me that I forgot the  , since the above is intended as humor.
Indeed, I am participating in a thread that could be called “fan fic”, and while the above certainly describes my writing and editing skills, it in no way describes those of anyone else.
We now return you to your thread in progress.

Hmm… now that I think about it, “Rainbow Bridge fanfic” does sound like something I’d be sick enough to make up. However-- scroll down to “Welcome at Rainbow Bridge” by Alexander Theodore, who is under the impression that he is a purebred Bouvier, and who is also a fourth-year resident (presumably of some psychiatric facility). In any case, I think the term ‘fanfic’ reasonably applies here.

Warning: This site features yet another of those MIDI tunes, which appear to be present on approximately 40-45% of all “Rainbow Bridge”-themed websites.

I am familiar with fanfic; I just can’t quite grasp writing it based on the Rainbow Bridge. I’m really quite surprised that I’ve never encountered Terrifel’s link circulating via email; I guess that does qualify it as fanfic and not glurge.

The chick who drew that is an internet aquaintance of mine (Link to the piece on her Deviant Art account.), and I presume based on what I know of her (though I may be incorrect) that it was intentionally meant to be ridiculous.

Even if I hadn’t known her, I wouldn’t think the image nearly measures up to most of the other gems you found in terms of “worst/stupidest”. Bad Photoshop job > skillfully-drawn hilarity. (Or would that be < ?) Anyway, I’m not upset in anyway nor harboring any ill will, I’m just putting in my two cents about that particular drawing.

I am so glad I am no the only one that can’t let the ol’Ted line get buried.

Well Done IMHO. Unless you met it to be a bad image then… Nausiating!!!

Wow, “Son’s of Thunder” is hilarious.

I laughed out loud, than saved it to my Pictures directory. You win the thread. AWESOMELY bad! Thanks!

Son’s of [apostrophe abuse] reminds me of Icy Hot Stuntaz

One is very tempted to place some of this—“hit the nail on the head”—in a clip art folder and see what gets used.

I got what appeared to be a malware-infested directory site when I clicked on that link.

Oops. Sorry about that - it does seem to be trying to open a couple of popups (didn’t notice them, as they were blocked on my machine, as were all of the ad links). The popups don’t seem to do anything malicious though.

I call spoof. Icy Hot is a well-known alternate brand to Ben-Gay, which will go down in history as the medical aid most commonly used as punchlines to bad homosexual jokes. This website’s kistch has to be intentional.

Those pics are hilarious, though.

There’s a brief summary of the Icy Hot Stuntaz saga on Wikipedia - it does actually seem to be more than a spoof.
