Next to Heyward Bey and Freeman, he’s the most overrated player in the draft. How they passed on Orakpo for a one year wonder workout warrior like Maybin is beyond me. Maybe they’re planning on chasing away support so they can move to Canada ala the Indians in Major League.

Is Heyward-Bey really overrated if only one team overrates him? If the Raiders hadn’t taken him he would’ve dropped to the end of the first round, if not farther.

That’s just Hamlet. He’s never seen a QB worth a first day pick and every player who works out at the combine well is automatically a bust.
It’s all risk/reward. Andre Smith has a much higher bust potential than Monroe. He played very well, but when football was done, he completely checked out. From family members contacting agents, his lack of honesty with his coach, his suspension from the biggest game of his career, to his basically quitting on his draft prep because he knew he was going to get paid already. All of those tell me that he really doesn’t give a shit about bettering himself as a player.
It could all simply be immaturity on his part, and for your sake I hope so. But he’s certainly a high risk. Which is what the Bengals are known for. Which is why it’s funny.

Hmm… Browns are probably going to have a pick of Wells, Maclin, Everette Brown, Rey… Oher is dropping, could he be a dominant RT? Hmm…
Of those, I think Everette Brown is probably the most likely. Maclin might be the best value, but it’d scare me if we were looking to draft a WR since it’d probably mean Edwards was getting traded. But if he isn’t, Edwards/Maclin could be an interesting duo.
