Glad to make Christmas happy for you and your overlord =)
The piece is about 16 inch, classic choker length. I like that style to be that high and tight so the danglies don’t get lost in clothing. I did one where the lady wanted it to actually be sewn to a choker ribbon and it ended up looking very steampunk when we were done.
I recycled the tassels, they were what the amethyst teardrops came threaded upon.
I can sympathize with blowing the circuit - I currently am growing some plants in my aerogarden that are very temperature sensitive, so in the bedroom I have the aerogarden, my tv, my desktop and a small electric heater. If I oops and forget and turn on a bright light I use for beading I pop the circuit. I cant wait until summer and I can transplant the damned plants outside.
I have two updates!!!
I got my package in the mail yesterday! A collection of sports articles and essays from this past year! I am ultra excited to read this over the christmas break because I have ZERO books to read…thanks SO much!
Heeeeyyyyy Fracka I put your package in the mail today and had it two day shipped to ya. You should have it by Wednesday, or maybe even sooner since it’s only going over one state.
ETA: In looking at both the card and the package I am sad to say I don’t know who my santa is for me to thank personally. So please speak up so I can say thanks and apologize for not knowing this right away
That was from me – did I forget to sign the card, or did I just forget to write legibly? Either way, :smack:
Good, I’m glad you liked it – I was pretty sure sending you a T-shirt or something from a Philly team would be a bad idea, but didn’t know what else to get a sports fan … till I saw “Best Sports Writing of 2010.” Hope you enjoy it – merry happy!
Thank you so much FairyChatMom for the knitting book and notions! You correct - it IS impossible to have too many yarn needles and stitch markers. The diamond pattern throw looks good and I may begin that in the new year for Junior.
For my poor Giftee - Your parcel has made it as far as Montreal!! I am SOOO hopeful that it will manage to arrive in time!!
Santa arrived in Philly today – with a ridiculously cute stuffed bear with some good-smelling shower gel and lotion, plus a nice bright green Christmas stocking.
**alice **- glad it arrived intact. I hope you find patterns that you want to try in the book - it looked like it had a big variety.
To whoever will be gifting me, we’ll be leaving town probably on Weds, so if I haven’t received it by tomorrow, you won’t get an acknowledgement from me till the 29th or so. Please know that I’m not being ungrateful - just temporarily absent.
Tokyo Santa sent one very nice doper his present today.
I got my very nice gift yesterday. Check this out: by total coincidence, my santa lives in the town where I went to college, and sent me a mug from my alma mater! Filled with DARK CHOCOLATE non-pareils. Thank you again, Santa!!
You did sign the card, but it wasn’t with “twickster” it was your real name, which I am sad to say I don’t know. I was looking for a username and never found one.
Thank you so much again. I cracked it open last night and fully intend to finish it when I am home for the holidays.
The reindeer are flying a little slow with my present too. The post office said 7 business days. That would have gotten it there today. Overseas mail is always a bit unpredictable. Santa still has one more day to deliver on time.
I received a package from Sir T-Cups yesterday, but I’m saving it until Christmas Day. I can hardly wait!
I believe we have only three folks that have not reported in as far as shipping/receiving goes. I have contacted all of them privately to ask for an update.
If you haven’t received yet, fear not! We will make sure no one is left high and dry!
Greetings from Ocala, FL! Nothing arrived before we left, and we won’t get home till Tuesday evening. With luck, I can post then with gleeful gratitude! Or Weds, if we get in late on Tues.
