My gift from VunderBob arrived today! I got a huge bag of pecans from his own tree. I love pecans! And I got a really cool nutcracker along with it.

Merry Christmas, Dopers! And a big thank you to Sir T-Cups for my gift and the explanatory letter. The least favorite part of my mostly-creative-work job is the freakin’ paperwork that I’m always getting in trouble for not submitting. The awesome magnetic clips are going to be my new mode for organization, and everyone’s going to look at the labels and say “WTF?” I think my favorite is “Reverse Logistics.”
Finally, I’m able to report in on my gift! I got some terrific hot coco mixes and yummy vanilla fudge. Also a sweet card with an Alice Cooper mention… In other words, a perfect present. 
so thank you so much Santa and a bright and safe Christmas to all.
Well, I’m bummed because my SS gift hasn’t made it to my giftee yet. It’s been sitting in a post office in the US since the 21s of December, and frankly I’m a touch annoyed.
Stupid, un-Santa-like post office.
Anyway giftee - it should be there early next week! Sorry to be late and lame.

Here we go: I have been away due to family issues and haven’t posted.
I live in a Caribbean outpost. Mail from here is stupidly slow. My gift is on its way. Sorry giftee, it will be worth the wait, I promise.
To my secret santa: My gift is on its way (see mail situation above). Thanks, I’ll post again when I get it.
By the way, the address I got had a wrong zip code, luckily it was returned before it made it all the way to the US. I Googled the address and guesstimated the zip code. I hope rightly.
The mail carrier dropped a package in our box today. Thanks, alice_in_wonderland for the baking book. I’m looking forward to using it.
No mail today, probably because of the snow…

Woohoo! My package arrived today, and I was here when it came! Thank you, Mighty_Girl! Did I figure correctly that you’re the author of the cookbook? I’ve never had Dominican food so I foresee some adventures on our dinner table. And the scarf is really eye-catching and sparkly - is it crocheted or another technique I’m not familiar with!

Just got back from Chicago today to find a very colorful package.
rocking chair, you did an amazing job. That was the perfect set of gifts. I can’t wait to make the hat and it’ll look adorable on my daughter. I love the stitch markers too - they’re so cool! Where did you find them? I’ve just been using plastic rings up to now. (And thanks for the basket to store everything in!)
The cats love the mice, too. They spent the last 20 minutes or so chasing them around and now all three cats are passed out.
Oh, and the teddy bear is really cute. My daughter enjoyed biting his nose and poking him in the eyes.
Freck, let us know if you need people to adopt any orphans …
i was starting to get a bit concerned. i thought perhaps santa got a bit turned around or it got buried in a snow drift.
i’m glad you like everything. the stitch markers and marinated mice are originals. sometimes things get a bit crafty around here.
i really liked the wool for the hat, the colours are awesome. i hope it goes easily.

So - has everyone received a package now?
Not yet. I haven’t heard anything from the person I gifted. It was mailed 18 days ago. I’m pretty sure it must have arrived by now.
A little bird told me that my present (from my secret santa) should arrive practically any day.
I haven’t gotten my present yet - although I did get a package with a large chocolate bar. There was no card, no return address or anything, though, so I don’t know if that was from Santa or not! Just a packing slip that said, “thank you.” It came from amazon.com marketplace. Which I haven’t purchased anything from in ages. Now if that was from Santa, thank you! Ya could have given me some indication, though. 
Nothing here, yet. I haven’t looked in the garage for a few days, though. The mail man will occasionally leave packages there when no one is home.
