I got a card from Algher yesterday - I raise the martini flag right back!!
I found my postcards today and have filled them out, addressed them, and stamped them. Will drop them by the PO tomorrow 
Cards are addressed and filled out. Just need to pick up stamps and out they go.
Got my first card from Scareyfaerie - here’s a proof ya’ll aren’t just figments of my imagination or machine AIs that can pass a Turing test. 
Ok - where did y’all buy your postcards? I have looked in a bunch of places and not found any. I used to be part of these exchanges and it was easier then. i have checked:
the bookstore
the card stores in the mall
the grocery store
CVS
gas station
Where else do I look?
i got mine at Border’s but I had to ask. Some people have bought notecards and just torn off the back half. And some of the touristy type shops will always have them. And I think Walgreen’s and Rite Aid (drug stores) tend to have that. Not CVS though.
B&N did not have them, and I asked. The lady looked so crestfallen to say no, too. I’ll try another drugstore tomorrow.
’Mika, all of mine for this round came from the local Naval Air Museum. Last year’s cards came from a rack in the gift shop of a state park I used to live near.
I try to find some that are representative of the area I’m in, and I look for them in the touristy or quirky locations.
All mine are coming from Las Vegas. I like to think of the Wynn as our “second home.”
Got mine in the mail this morning, which is good, as the mailman just delivered two: from Elendil’s Heir and ScareyFaerie. The mails still work from England and Cleveland! Symmetry - the ones I got show where the senders make their money. The ones I sent show where I lose my money!
Got two postcards today!
A lightbulb from dbygawdcapn, and a cool F-22 Raptor from VunderBob!
Weird note: On the lightbulb postcard, the postage stamp wasn’t “stamped” with those wavy line thingies.
Also loved that the “Go Green” stamp was used on a postcard of an incandescent lightbulb!
VunderBob, how close are you to Frederick, MD? I have most of my family there (relocated from MA)

Lexington Park is 120 miles south of Frederick, with DC smack in the middle.
I received a postcard from **Elendil’s Heir **today - and now I know where he works and will stalk him! What he’s doing on the roof of a building I’ll never understand though. EH - are you the Batman?
I also got a postcard from my godson - which cracked me up.
I’m not prepared to discuss that.
I got Ms Robyn’s lovely card of Pennsylvania. Who needs Google Maps when you have this nice layout? My wife has a trip to Penn State for research, I will just loan it to her for her drive.
Just an FYI to all - I am taking off for some much needed vacation starting before the mail arrives on Friday, so any card arrival announcements, etc. will have to wait until the 19th.
I put mine in the mailbox this morning and got a card from Algher on Monday. The postie should be here to get them in an hour.

I got my freakin postcards. I was really hoping for Capital District postcards but I kid you not, not one of the museums around here have postcards, and I e-mailed them all. Ah, I tell you, kids these days - snail mail is going the way of the dodo. I shall fight it!
Anyway my first round of postcards is going to be rather plain. However, I found ONE place that sells postcards so I ordered from them and they should be here for the next round.
However, this round is in the mail!

I gave up looking for postcards and ended up with some cute notecards. I hate that and will keep looking, but I was afraid that I would put it off and never get around to it!
