20. Tyler Eifert* Chicago Bears (10-6)

Analysis: When the Bears traded Greg Olsen to the Panthers, they dealt away one of Jay Cutler’s favorite targets. Brandon Marshall made a huge impact in 2012, but the Bears lack that second option Cutler can really depend on, particularly at tight end. Eifert is a new-breed tight end, a guy you can split out as an impossible physical matchup for most corners, and is a hands-catcher who doesn’t have to create much separation to be open because he can win physical battles and use his strong hands to take the ball out of the air with players hanging on him. He’s an ideal target for Cutler.

I agree TE is a need, but unless Eifert or Ertz are the second coming of Jimmy Graham or Rob Gronkowski I’d rather have a OT/OG. We’ll see, the OT class seems a little shaky after Joeckel to me.

Weirdly the Steelers might be the only team in the league were Tebow as a backup QB makes any sense at all.

DC might work, maybe SF, he’d be better in one of those than most other offenses.

B. The Pittsburgh touching is ignored (Rule 9, Section 1, Article 4). First touching is therefore by Cleveland in the end zone resulting in a touchback.

18. Jonathan Cooper Dallas Cowboys (8-8)

Analysis: The Cowboys had an uneven season on the offensive line, and Cooper will provide an upgrade immediately. This is a complete guard, a player who is exceptional at delivering blocks and moving in tight quarters, and he moves extremely well for the position. He can deliver an initial blow to eliminate an interior defender and then move easily to the second level where he can line up linebackers and safeties and block in space.

Both teams have backups in place that would be disrupted by Tebow. The Steelers are a fit because he’s not going to pressure the incumbent, not going to push a prospect off the team and actually could add value in a pinch.

From what little I have seen (and it has been* very* little, a full game for each) I think Eric Fisher will end up better than Joeckel.

This has been a really bad year for me watching NCAA football. Don’t think I’ve seen either play. Really looking forward to the All-star games and the Combine.

I don’t even watch college football. I just catch the edited cuts of full games when I can (draftbreakdown.com is great for this, I encourage everyone to check it out). So my choices are limited, but I try to keep an open mind, considering. These types of videos have gotten exponentially more popular and plentiful over the last few seasons. The access fans have nowadays is incredible. Golden Age for fandom and andpursuit of knowledge.

17 **Ezekiel Ansah **Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8)

Analysis: If you could hand an exceptional physical talent with an extraordinarily high ceiling but plenty of development required to one defensive coordinator, whom would you choose ahead of Dick LeBeau? Ansah is a big-time athletic talent, a guy who at 270-plus pounds has the burst and top-end speed of a track star. He’ll get comparisons to a player such as Jason Pierre-Paul between now and April, because his potential to be a star is there, but he needs coaching. The Steelers must get younger on defense, and Ansah makes sense given their track record of development.

Looks like they are targeting the replacement for Harrison.

Yeah. I am seeing sports writers speculating that Harrison might be gone. It makes sense. Even if he comes back they need a replacement and a better back up…but you can say that about most positions.
Frankly, I don’t think the Steelers have drafted that well the last 5 yrs other than at receiver and possibly at DB, which is funny because those hadn’t been strengths in a long time.
