I went to the SC v Mizzou game… and that’s all I’ll be saying about that.
I saw it on TV and know just what you mean! Is Spurrier okay?
So, this happened this past weekend:

Dumbass fan runs onto the field during the game, apparently because he needs attention. Well, he got it. Specifically, from former Ohio State and NFL linebacker and current OSU strength coach Anthony Schlegel, who body-slammed him to the turf and then helped a police officer manhandle him off the field.
Yeah, I know, the guy could have been hurt, it may have been an overreaction on Schlegel’s part, Schlegel may face consequences, etc., but damn if that isn’t satisfying to watch. Some shitheads just need to get their asses kicked sometimes.
That was a pretty kind takedown, considering all the options.
At least Maryland isn’t the doormat in the B1G this year. Next up Ohio State .
And how about Northwestern beating Penn State after losing to Cal and NIU? It goes to show you never can tell…if they beat Wisconsin (hell, even keep it close) people will start noticing.
The Wildcats beat the spread against the Ducks.
Parity’s a bitch. I really dislike Oregon, but I was rooting for them to run the table and make the playoff. Apparently their O-line injuries have devastated them.
My Bears put up 45 points on Arizona (on the road), so by the transitive property of football that means Cal’s offense is twice as good as Oregon’s, which is a mind-blower.
That was an ugly game with some good plays by Arizona against a weak Oregon showing.
Huge day of college football today. Miss State/TAM, Ole Miss/Bama, Auburn/LSU, and some non-SEC games between ranked teams.
For sure, the best weekend thus far. Unfortunately, I am out for the entire afternoon but I will be back for the Night games.
I will be watching a 2nd tier game this evening, Miami at (undefeated) Ga Tech. Tech has a realistic chance to start the season 10-0. There next six games are Miami, Duke, @UNC, @Pitt, UVA, and @NC State before closing with a home game against Clemson and @Georgia.
Now that I have expressed some optimism, look for Miami to win 34-13 tonight. :smack:
Miss State dominated the first half, up 28-10. TAM lost a LB/DE on a targeting call early, and haven’t really been able to get to Prescott since.
48-31 Final. Wasn’t even that close. TAM got a couple of scores in garbage time, but otherwise, Miss State absolutely dominated both sides of the ball. Kenny Hill got very little help from his receivers today…think there were at least 9 drops that should have been caught. HAIL STATE!
Ole Miss/Bama on now. ROLL TIDE!
Wow, (at the half) Ole Miss does not look ready for prime time.
It should still be 7-3 at the half. Not sure how Bama got away with that blatant facemask that led to the fumble return TD…
Seriously. Refs need to leave the state in a hurry post-game.
I’m thinking of that play where Bama was caught flat-footed by a back in motion, but Bo Wallace overthrew a wide open receiver. Not a shining moment.
Hotty Toddy! Holy crap, two of the top three lose!
Wow!
It’s Chaos! Dogs lying down with cats! Thunder before lightning! Dessert doesn’t ruin your appetite! I love seasons like this!
WOW. Biggest day in Mississippi college football history. My sources indicate both goalposts in Oxford are down. Everybody on that team is getting laid tonight. Starkville is partying down since about 2:30 this afternoon.
Now 3 of the top 4 with TCU knocking off Oklahoma!
I said before the season that undefeated would be good enough for FSU to play for the title. I would hate to be on that committee and picking between a bunch of 1 loss teams.
