Four out of 6, with A&M going down. I love days like this.
(Why does CBS show Alabama as #1? What ranking do they use that nobody else does - the one where the ACC doesn’t count? )

They were using the McPaper poll, sometimes called the Coaches poll
My sources indicate that at least one of the goalposts is now in “The Square” in downtown Oxford, and may have had a police escort to get there.
I’m not a college football fan by any means, but even I enjoyed the upsets today. Has there ever been a day quite like this?
There was a bowl season in which the top 3 all lost, allowing #4 Michigan St. I believe, to vault to #1.
I’m taking my enthusiasm and optimism and I’m leaving this thread forever!
I now can confidently predict South Carolina will not get a bowl game this year.
Here’s my favorite line from a sports story today:[

It’s especially sweet because today we beat the spread for the first time all season. Woot! GO 'NOLES!
There has, but it’s been a while:[
Holy crap today. This is insanity.
And … down go the Bruins, at home no less. 10 of the top 25 won against lower or un-ranked opponents, half of the top 10 lost.
Cal beats WSU 60-59. Yes, in football. The Bears gave up 700+ yards passing, and won because the Cougar kicker missed a 19 yard field goal in the last minute.
God loves me.
Bears win, Giants win (neither of whom had any business winning), and all the college teams I hate lost. This is the best day ever.
5 of the top 10, 11 of the top 20… I certainly can’t remember anything like this.
Love the quote, 'Bo! Before the season started I said that it didn’t matter for us about SoS or spreads or anything like that. 13-0 and we’re in the play-off.
And absent any big upsets next week (which can’t be discounted with this damn season), the Notre Dame game in two weeks is almost certainly a Top 5 matchup.
The 4th quarters for TCU and ASU were amazingly exciting. [GAMES] in the balance til the final plays in each.
I got strange feeling that no SEC team is going to be in the Playoffs. The three undefeated teams have games against each other left and Bama, TAMU and LSU have two games each one of them has got to play two of them. and I wouldn’t be surprised if Arkansas beats one of them.
I think every team is going to have at least two losses and I am not sure that will get in the playoff.
I have a feeling the Committee will move heaven and earth to get an SEC team in. An SEC-free playoff in the first year would delegitimize the whole thing. Of course, the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that’s exactly what’s going to happen as a way to up the pressure to expand to eight teams.
I wish. Realistically, the SEC has the pollsters in their back pocket. Alabama will move up about six spots by beating W. Carolina, ditto Florida and E. Kentucky, Auburn and Samford, Mississippi and Presbyterian, and Georgia and Charleston Southern. Those late season creampuffs are there for a reason, you know.
LOL. Six spots? Come on, I thought you said “realistically”.
Arizona went from unranked to top ten by beating Oregon. Anybody know the record for biggest one-week jump?

That was tacked on to the AP story about the upsets by the Salt Lake Tribune, btw.
By the way, not a bad week for the state of Arizona, either.
And UAs ranking makes some kind of sense. They’re undefeated, and they knocked off #2. Sure, why not…they’ve got as good a claim to the spot as anyone else.
