I knew that, hence the wink.
Solid point! What I should have said is that “if pulling for Appy makes me an asshole, put me down!”
I also should say that I consider this game to have a high likelihood of having the most runaway score! Meech can’t let it happen again. Right?

Also, Go Navy!
Damn straight!!
For some reason, I don’t seem to have the Ohio State game available on any of my channels. Bummer, because that looks like the most interesting of the early games today.
Alabama kicks off in about an hour, and I’ll start my serious football watching with that one.
Dang, my home team (Georgia Southern Eagles) started strong in their first game in the Big Boy Conference, but things are getting ugly at the end of the third quarter. Go Eagles!
And indeed - Go Dawgs!
notfrommensa, those Terriers tried to put a scare on your Jackets, didn’t they? And it’s not like Paul Johnson has never faced Wofford before - he coached Georgia Southern when both teams played regularly in the SoCon. The GSU game should be interesting, as should Georgia Southern’s game vs. Navy.
But. Go Dawgs! I’ll also be flipping back and forth, catching what I can of LSU/Wisconsin and Alabama/West Virginia.
ETA: Beautiful stop on fourth in the red zone - Go Eagles!
OAK: The tOSU/Navy was on the CBS Sports Network. I have it on my satellite package but it took me awhile to find it.
LM: G-Tech won. Thats all that counts. And looking forward to beating the Eagles in a couple weeks. I remember the Erk Russell years at UGA. Didn’t know there was Ga Southern fan on the Dope!
Yep, good win. Sad loss for my Eagles - so close! Hoping the QB makes a quick recovery. At least we have Savannah State next week, so the backup QB can get some playing time against the Washington Generals of college football!
Can’t complain, Michigan looked solid running, passing, D and special teams. But obviously there is only so much a game against that quality of opponent can tell ya. Onto the series cancelling cowards in South Bend.
I finally found it. I have DISH, and that channel is sorta out of the way of my normal scanning.
WVa came to play. They’re hanging with Bama, down only 20-17 at the half.
Possible upset in the Arkansas-Auburn game. Tied 21-21 late in the third. Definitely did not see that one being close. WOOOOOOOOOOO PIG! SUEY!
You would appreciate something I saw on Twitter the other day. It was an Alabama Tide car tag that said “THXFSU”.
I hate Notre Dame.
Go 'Noles!
That was actually the halftime score. Auburn now up 38-21 with about 10 min left, but game stopped for weather at the moment.
In the least significant upset of the day, Cal beats Northwestern 34-27, for their first win over an FBS opponent in 22 months. I feel like we just won a bowl game.
Nice that it’s mostly stopped raining in Oregon.
Did it rain in Ewe-Jean today? I live northwest of there, and all we got was sulky mist.
Yeah, rain in that part of the valley. Pretty heavy at times, for August. ETA: Wunderground says there could be more this evening.
LSU down 10 to Wisconsin at the half.
Miss State won big, 49-0 over Southern Miss.
Okie State students decided to go all in on the “Cowboys vs. Indians” theme on ESPN today.
I am constantly amazed at the clueless idiocy of the American college student - “Let’s write this highly offensive banner and pose behind it in our school colors! And cavort all over ESPN!”
The SEC speed sure is on display against the Wisconsin Caucasians tonight. 15 rushes for 17 yards. LSU is one blown coverage away from being shut out and having 57 total yards of offense in the first half.
