Thanks!

+1. I hadn’t heard either.

Boy?

Oh good grief. Child? Does that work better for you? The word was a reference to the fact that he is 20 years old and I’m much older than that.

And you know what? I was born in the South, I grew up in the South, and I live in the South. I have relatives and acquaintances who are racist and that’s not at all how it’s used in a racist context.

“That boy has a problem.” - not racist
“Hey boy, come here.” - racist

It was a term used to denigrate grown men by applying it to them based on the color of their skin. Male children (of all races) are referred to as “boy” on a regular basis without any racial overtones.

“Hey Bill, how’s your boy?” “Doin’ great! Looks like he made the all-star team!”

“Hey Steve, you seen that boy of mine?” “Not lately, but I saw him and my boy headed out to the barn a while back.”

Suspension has been increased to whole game:

I can picture this scenario:

Friend: Hey Jameis, I dare you to stand on a table and yell “fuck her right in the pussy”
Jameis: Are you crazy?
Friend: I double-dog-dare you.
Jameis: Oh, it’s on.

I bet it went more like:
Sneaky clempson fan: Hey Jameis, I dare you to stand on a table and yell “fuck her right in the pussy”
Jameis: Are you crazy?
Sneaky clempson fan: I double-dog-dare you.
Jameis: Oh, it’s on.

Story I’m hearing is that Jameis was the fourth or fifth guy to stand up and yell it. It’s also an area of the Student Union known for that kind of crap.

Not that ANY of the above excuses JaboDipShit. He really should know better.

I am now curious as to what the future holds for Winston. No doubt he has talent as a football player, but he really seems to be lacking in something. He always seems to say the right things, after the fact mind you, but he isn’t learning from his mistakes.

First it was being accused of sexual assault. Then it was the shoplifting thing and now this. There may be more things I have forgotten. Given the current way the winds are blowing in the NFL, is any team going spend a first round pick on this clown?

Over-under in the Oregon-WSU game tonight is 80 points.

66-14? Sounds about right.

They expecting 42-38 or more like 70-10?

I don’t know what “they” expect, but I expect something like 65-45.

“They” would be the oddsmakers, of course.

I didn’t know WSU had that potent a scoring O. Or is Oregon’s D suspect? (I haven’t been into much of that coast yet this year, I usually pay more attention closer to end of season)

I haven’t followed them closely this year, but WSU typically scores a lot of points, and gives up even more, when playing Oregon. IIRC they set some school records for offense in their loss to Oregon last year. But judging from the MSU game, Oregon’s D is better this year, so maybe they’ll hold them to 30 or so.

ETA: I do realize that Oregon is better than the final scores show, because they usually pull their starters early in the 3rd quarter.

Winston dressed out for the game. What was he thinking?

Wow, tied at the half, go Mountaineers. (I picked them to take the belt from the Sooners).

Thanks for the info.
I see OU had two guys pretty much do all the work for them. 100 yd return TD for one guy and 200+ yds rushing with 4 TDs for another. Unless the beer is reading the TV screen wrong. WV almost had it a couple of times.
