6th Pick - Leonard Williams - New York Jets
This is the team that needed a DL less than anyone but they did the smart thing and went BPA, like you’re supposed to. Terrible outcome for my Bears but could be a great outcome for the Jets, though the market value of Wilkerson just took a big hit.
On to the Bears…hopefully White.
I’ve never been much of a proponent of BPA over need.

In the very early stages of the 1st Round, you’re looking for stars, and you shouldn’t pass up on a guy that you think is a future star because you “don;t need” him.

I’m on NFL.com online-only feed. It kinda sucks, but it works. Anybody have a clandestine site that could provide credentials to watch TV feeds without cable service?
I’m stuck at the In-laws using ESPN.com, but I’ve gone over to Mayock and NFL when I’m at home. Especially when ESPN kept having so many ‘watch this prospect talk about his hobbies while we don’t discuss anything about the last five picks except their names’.
Whew, glad that went that way. Didn’t want any surprises here.
7th Pick - Kevin White - Chicago Bears
Very. very happy with this pick. We needed a speed guy opposite Jeffery and he’s probably even more dynamic than Marshall. If he can get open and play as strong he’ll be a incredible pick. Guess we’re going with Cutler for another year and Bennett, Jeffery, Royal and White looks pretty good on paper.

I go NFLN too. I like Eisen and Mayock is mostly tolerable. Can’t tolerate Berman and Gruden any more even though I miss out on McShay and Kiper who I still kinda dig. I’ll probably go to ESPN for days 2 and 3.

Just heard that 49ers owner Jed York’s Twitter posted a cryptic indication of a trade possibility. An extra 3rd Rounder would get them into the Vikings’ spot.
8th Pick - Vic Beasley - Atlanta Falcons
Weird that the NFL mostly seems to entirely agree with my sentiments on the top 8 players. No real surprises. Beasley is a great match for need/value for the Falcons. They desperately need pass rush and I love Beasley’s strength/speed/quickness combo. Some might prefer Gregory with his hand in the dirt, but no complaints on this one from me.
