2026 Celebrity Death Pool

Coe wrote it.

Gotcha. Ignorance fought.

I wish I could claim to be as smart as I appear, but I just learned that little fact about Coe a half hour ago myself when I read read his wiki page.

All was revealed in this thread.

I guess he finally heard his name.

I wonder if we’ll ever get a Cocaine and Rhinestones episode about him.

Craig Venter, decoder of the human genome, died aged 79:

Alessandro Zanardi, former Formula 1 pilot who lost both legs in an accident dies aged 59:

Dammit… I had him on my themed list for a few years but removed him. And left Michael Schumacher on.

Alas, poor Jeeves, we scarcely remembered you still existed…

Not technically eligible for this thread, but do feel free to observe a moment of silence to note his passing.

I’ve come to believe that Schumacher is suspended in a stasis field. His ski accident was in December 2013, and we all jumped on his bandwagon for the 2014 Death Pool. And more than a dozen years later, far too much has changed, but he hasn’t.

I’ve concluded that he’s either been dead for years, or if not, when he finally does, we’ll never hear about it.

Mostly dead. There’s a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there’s usually only one thing you can do.

Score points?

mostly dead is a bit like mostly harmless

Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

I’m seeing multiple posts about Alex Ligertwood dead at 79. Best known as the lead singer for Santana during the 80s into the 90s. He was singing the one time I saw Santana. He also sang on one of the few vocal tracks by the Dixie Dregs.

Beau Starr dead at 81. Not as well known as his younger brother Mike Starr but he was still in a lot of things. Played Henry Hill’s father in Goodfellas.

Rudy Giuliani rushed to hospital in critical condition.

25-26 years too late, buddy. Still, noteworthy.
