Question about tonight’s episode: In the credits an actor was listed as playing “Astronaut Mike Dexter” but I cannot remember any scene involving a character called that. 
Did I miss something? My DVR cut off during the end bit with Kenneth. Did Liz finally meet him or something?
My guess is that we didn’t hear him speak or even referred to, but “Astronaut Mike Dexter” was just there and Liz missed her shot at him.
I believe it was the guy from the previous week’s episode who said he was a “plushy”.
My wife was astounded at how old Matt Damon looked.
Was Matt Damon in it? I thought he was going to be Mike Dexter.
“It’s too bad you can’t make one perfect woman out of the two of them, like a s’more you can bring into the shower.”
Matt Damon was Carol, doorman to the sky.
“Carol? That’s a woman’s name.” - said dismissively by Paul in his half Cher, half Jenna outfit.
The thing that actually made me laugh aloud was Avery’s Overstock.com parody ad with the Maryland accent. O! Funniest vowel ever.
Damon did look old, but I thought he did well. ‘Walk briskly, wear a pilot’s uniform, you can go practically anywhere. Wandered around the second floor of the White House while the Obamas were sleeping.’
I think it didn’t help that we watch “The Bourne Identity”, “The Bourne Ultimatum” and this show in fairly rapid succession. It looked like he was aging in fast motion, like that dude in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”.
Also, my wife is Chinese and grey hair makes someone look disproportionately old to her.
Did anyone notice Carol’s “Catch Me if You Can” reference? There is no way he is a real pilot. Liz gave up her hateful fiance of destiny for a fraud.
Wasn’t he filling out a worker’s comp claim for an injury he got on the job though?
I didn’t catch the reference (what was it?) but I suspected from the beginning that he wasn’t a real pilot. I think it was his conversation with Jack in which he snarked on Capt. Sully that made me suspect he was an imposter.
Plus, they can’t have Matt Damon joining the cast, so something’s gotta be wrong with him. I wish Liz would get back with Wesley Snipes. 
A co-worker, originally from Baltimore, pronounces her long O’s in this extraordinarily fingernails-on-chalkboard manner. I used to think it was pretentiousness; now I know it’s just her Maryland accent.
I’ll have to ask her to say something like “bowl of water” and see if she pronounces it “boule of wudder.”
Argh, I can’t stand Wesley Snipes and his mouth words!
Liz asked Carol how he got through security at 30 Rock, and he said something like “If you are wearing a pilot’s uniform and look like you know where you are going, you can go just about anywhere.”
As for worker’s comp, his story was just about as likely as any of the lies Liz has told. Isn’t worker’s comp for injuries that prevent you from doing your job? His was a bitten middle finger.
He probably recognized her from Deal Breakers and threw out the TGS reference. He figures if she runs a show, she must have money and connections.
You know what a good pilot does? He doesn’t hit the birds in the first place!
Poor Kenny and the Kabletown execs. Though when pulled out the handgun and put it on the desk, I burst out laughing. Then laughed harder when Pete gave him that odd look.
They did the exact same bit on an episode of SNL, with Jason Sudekis IIRC playing another pilot who flew that same route and was ticked off that he wasn’t getting any credit for not hitting any brids. I don’t this is meant to lead you to think Carol isn’t the real deal.

I would have liked those Sully jokes better if they hadn’t already been done by Jason Sudekis as a pilot on SNL’s Weekend Update.
