Ok, so I really loved The Office this week, but I freaking DIED during 30 Rock. Man, where to begin?
Liz and Floyd together are hilarious. Coming out of the movies (I thought it was moving… my bowels!), having a romantic candlelight game of Uno, and OMG the pajama dance. “Hey pockets, does that do it for you? Oh look a used kleenex. Now I’m turning on my humidifier.” We had to pause the show because my wife and I were laughing so hard. Tina Fey has done a brilliant job creating Liz Lemon, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters ever.
Fat Bitch: She’s Off Her Leash! It’ll be tough making a sequel, as everyone knows Fat Bitch died at the end.
The avian bone syndrome girl at Christie’s. I loved when Jack touched her shoulder and said “Oops did that hurt you?” and she replied, “Just a little, it’s OK.”
Tracy was hit or miss for me but it there were still some really funny moments. Especially him shooing Liz off to get rid of his horse’s erection and the countless anachronisms in his Jefferson trailer.
They are a cute couple, and here’s hoping this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Emily Mortimer (though Isabella Rossellini could probably break every bone in her body just by staring at her).
After showing the after the movie and Uno scenes, my husband and I looked at each other and laughed. I said, “Oh my god, that’s so US!” Then the flannel jammies and humidifier sealed the deal. I’m Liz Lemon!
I’m loving this show more than My Name is Earl and (forgive me) Scrubs, but The Office is still on top for now.
I noticed Jane Krakowski was gone in the last two episodes too, but only after the fact. Maybe that’s why she’s missing… And The Rural Juror was already completed, remember? Everyone already watched it. Maybe she’s on a press junket for it? Maybe they’ll never mention her again?
I also loved the sexy pajamas and humidifier routine. Funny, but she also looks cuter and sexier in those pajamas than she would in lingerie because she’s comfortable.
I think this show is really hitting its stride. It has been much more consistently funny over the past four episodes than even The Office has (and I love The Office).
Tracy said something early that was very random, but very funny (maybe about something he was eating). All that random shit that he does and says cracks me up. (“I was eating a ______ while doing _____.”)
Did anyone else notice that she failed to say “Uno” as she played her second-to-last card?
Tracy Morgan remains (by far) the weakest part of this otherwise hilarious show.
