6 January 2021; A Day worth a Thread

I believe that all the republicans of pa signed onto it.

If we all go to bed it’ll hardly go up at all –

January 20. At noon.

Kick them all out of the House, since they were on the same ballot that was so plagued with fraud.

Thanks. This picture is particularly scary

Zip ties, mace, holstered pistol, Punisher skull (a QAnon thing).

I see what you did there.

This is bad logic. For one thing, you have no way of knowing how many people chose not to try and become a dictator because the risk was too great. For another, the penalty for trying to be a dictator is always bad, and every wannabe dictator knows that.

Trump is going to leave because he has no choice, not because he is willing to do so–we’ve seen that over and over. No dictator of any stripe ever willingly steps down. That’s part of the definition of a dictator.

We’re not being clumsy. We’re following democracy and the idea that no one is above the law. You’re advocating we abandon that which we are trying to save.

On a night where we had to stop terrorists from destroying our democracy, you’re saying we should give into a terrorist because they might destroy our democracy. If we do, democracy is already destroyed.

If they are going to do this nonsense, there should be a Constitutional amendment that the 2 hours of debate is replaced by 2 hours of all-in wrestling in sumo fat suits.

The Senate is blowing off the debate part. The House may use all two hours.

If this were a movie, a bomb would go off about now, or a missed gunman would show up.

I thought the protestors had not been allowed guns? Is that wrong or did this guy slip through?

Pfft…

Thunderdome!

Ari Fleischer, who is a Fox contributor, is trying to blame the Democrats for this.
“If you don’t like what’s happening today, maybe you should go back four years, look in the mirror and ask if it was a good idea to declare #NotMyPresident, declare yourself the Resistance, and boycott an Inaugural. When one side violates norms, the other side will too”

Yeah, because those things are EXACTLY THE SAME as defiling the Capitol building with violence. No end to the ‘whatabout-ism’ with this crowd. What a toad.

Just means you are in good company. Meaning all of us.

I don’t think he went through any sort of police checkpoint…

Hey, we’re all staying up to watch. After all, isn’t this more interesting than the “Non-Sleeper Cell” thread?

Hawley declined to argue. He just wanted to watch things burn.

Goddam, Hawley, what was the fuckin’ point?

I don’t think I can make it two more hours, if the house decides to take it that long…

Brian

Take a nap. I’m sure some senators will.
