It seems Donald Trump’s desperate efforts to disconnect himself from what took place on that fateful day in January when the ex-president’s supporters stormed the nation’s Capitol building after the infamous “Stop the Steal” Trump rally, has just officially gone straight to shit. And there’s no looking back.
Speaking on MSNBC recently with host Rachel Maddow, House Rep. and member of the House Select Committee that’s currently investigating the January 6tht Capitol insurrection, Adam Schiff, revealed that the 1/6 committee is in possession of metadata that that hails directly from the White House (when Trump was still in office) on the letter that was sent to Georgia election officials, urging them to assist in overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election.
What a terribly written article.
Metadata on a ‘letter’? Is the writer unable to say ‘email’? The article does this again and again.
Nobody was in any doubt the WH was urging Georgia to overturn elections. I mean, we have a recording of a conversation between Trump and GA officials. This new! amazing! revelation! will move the needle not at all. Sorry. 
Maybe it was a PDF with a chain of custody attached? I can’t make sense of this.
That article reads like overheated partisan hackery to me, like someone used Unroll on one of Seth Abramson’s tweet threads and posted the result. This is not a compliment.
Look, I want Trumpism destroyed and its practitioners jailed as much as anyone, but just because Dailykos or someone circulates a hopefully-viral link headlined “Elizabeth Warren ANNIHILATES Trump in 45 seconds!” doesn’t mean any annihilating was being done. This is more of the same.
When Trump and his larvae are marched out of Mar-a-Lago in cuffs and fitted for orange overalls, that will be “big.” Until then the breathless partisan cheerleading is just grift-adjacent puffery.

Frankly, at this point I really can’t envision a big smoking gun that implicates Trump and his White House cronies more than the evidence we already have does. We have everything. There is a already pile of solid evidence linking Jeff Clark’s efforts to the White House and Trump. We have freaking bullet-pointed documents and PowerPoint decks, composed by the seditionists, fully outlining the multiple conspiracies to defraud the United States. Lordy, we even have tapes.
We are not lacking evidence. I don’t think I could fabricate evidence more convincing than anything we actually have. Seriously, I cannot think of anything I could fabricate that would be more damning than anything that is already out there.
What we don’t have is a non- corrupted law enforcement agency willing to do anything about it.
What’s worse is that this unrealistic rhetoric feeds despondency on the Left when nothing happens in response. It’s extremely counterproductive to those who want to counter Trumpism.

You will see in that story and elsewhere that the Biden administration, acting in a responsible and non-vindictive manner, decided to uphold the claim of privilege for some Trump administration records.
Now Trump, on his lame blog that’s still kicking around even though no one knows about it, is taunting them over this decision, claiming that they’re only upholding privilege because they’re scared of future Hunter Biden bombshells….or something, he’s getting less coherent every day.
