7 Jan 2021 and beyond - the aftermath of the storming of the Capitol

My advice to them is to stop drinking heavily.

Jurors deliberating the Proud Boys verdict sent a note to the trial’s judge asking for additional instructions on the seditious conspiracy charge leveled against the group in connection with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The jury also asked what they should do if there is any sort of deadlock in the case. NBC News’ Ryan Reilly reports.

sounds like the jury is coming down to a few items. i believe that having so many charges against a bunch of people really makes it difficult for the jury.

as with the oath keepers trail, there is a “this was bad, but not as bad as what x did” situation; that if each person was separate would not happen.

Especially if you’re fat, too. No way to go through life.

Dean Wormer was a wise man.

And now this:

Come on, what tourist hasn’t said this to a mob attacking police officers:

Prosecutors say that Wise also encouraged other rioters who were attacking police in front of him, shouting, “Kill ‘em! Kill ‘em! Kill ‘em!”

partial verdict is in on the proud boys trial.

much back and forth going on right now between defence and judge. the jury is not in the court room as yet.

4 found guilty of seditious conspiracy! per cnn. nordean, rehl, biggs, and tarrio.

Excellent!

the jury did not have a verdict with pezzola on seditious conspiracy. the jury has been sent back to deliberate on the charges that were not decided. interesting…they seem to be stuck on pezzola on some of the charges.

7 days and now back to deliberation.

the tally so far: 31 guilty, 4 not guilty, 11 counts no verdict.

at this point 1020+ have been charged, 590+ have been convicted, 235+ have been sentenced, for actions on or around jan 6th.

But it was just a bunch of innocent tourists!

Are these the first convictions for seditious conspiracy of anyone involved on Jan. 6?

I hardly expect they’ll be the last.

Seditious tourism in the first degree.

Is that a capitol offense?

no, in jan. 2023, the oath keepers had convictions on seditious conspiracy. the actions on 6 jan 2021 are official sedition.

Thanks for the reminder!

Now that it’s been established (again) that Jan. 6 was sedition, I look forward to “seditious conspiracy” appearing in future indictments involving more prominent people.

i look very forward to that.

pezzola has been found not guilty of seditious conspiracy. it appears that the jury considered him not in proud boys leadership.

it is my understanding that the jurors are done now. they have stated that they are deadlocked on the rest of the counts.

Nothing whatsoever on the Fox News website about these convictions. Their viewers will never know what happened.

Except the viewers that went to jail, of course.
