75 year old impregnates 10 year old

Incomprehensible.

Yuck factor 10+.

I, too, think it’s outrageous that someone with his record would be allowed in an adopt a grandfather program!

I wonder if this child has been abused before. If she did, indeed, entice him (and I’m not saying that his saying she did means anything) I am guessing that she probably has. What a terrible life she must have, poor little thing.

“She tricked me…she didn’t look a day younger than fifteen!”

mrblue92, how could bearing a child “interrupt” her development? I can see it accelerating it, but not interrupting it.

If she’s capable of conceiving (which obviously she is), I’d think her development’s pretty far along anyway.

IIRC, the record - some years ago, at least - was a delivery by a nine-year-old girl. The fact that in this new case, the girl was able to get pregnant at age ten suggests that she was more physically mature than the average ten-year-old. Still, I should think such an early pregnancy is likely to cause physical and emotional problems for both the mother and the child.

Sad. Really sad.

Kind of hitting on what Fiver said there are reports that our children are developing earlier then we did because of the increase in hormornes in milk and meat.
I could swear I read it in a thread here somewhere?

It’s going to mess her up. I’ve seen 16 year olds with babies and they don’t deal well I couldn’t imagine her not.
I had my first at 18 and went to a school for pregnant girls. I’ve come close to seeing it all.

Something else I just thought of…another big ewwww factor…how in the world did he get it up?
He had to be a pretty healthy man for his age.
My mother in law and I are pretty close and we were talking about sex once and she told me she hasn’t had it in like 15 years because of the heart medication.
And doesn’t it get harder (no pun intended) for men to get an errection as they age?

Shouldn’t this topic be in the PIT???

It certainly deserves it. That’s just sick sick sick.

Which kid? (Maybe age 83 when the girl gets her GED?)

I think many people just don’t think twice about leaving children alone with people that are that old. I think too many people make the error that elderly=harmless. But a lot of sex offenders are fairly old, and haven’t changed their behavior at all.

Does it automatically belong in the PIT just because it’s obscene? I’d have never known about it if it wasn’t in MPSIMS. The facts here are anything but mundane, but our universal disgust and anger are predictable.

Now, if someone posts that they approve of these activities, then I think it’ll go to the PIT pretty fast…

Maybe “He’s too old to be a risk anymore…”?

I’m severely weirded-out by this. ::shudder::

D’uh-viagra.

Ugh ugh ugh…this is sick indeed.

I’m not necessarily disputing the poster’s judgement here. I am simply implying that the disgusting molester deserves a major napalm session. Filthy fucker. Poor girl. Words fail me. :frowning:

The girl, now 11 and six months pregnant, has been removed from her home and taken into the custody by the state Department of Children and Families.

Why is this? Why would they remove her from her family?

Couldn’t this possibly kill the 10 year old girl since she decides to have the baby?

Hey, that’s a great idea! here we have a 75-year old registered sex offender who can’t get it up anymore. Let’s give him Viagra! If that’s actually what happened, then this man’s doctors should be ashamed of themselves as well.

Kricket you may have read the Time magazine article about girls developing earlier. The average age that a girl gets her first period has lowered and there are 12 & 13 year olds who look 16+. Two of them (age 11 IIRC) were pictured in the article, having read it I was biased so I showed the pictures to a friend and then asked how old he thought they were. He guessed 16 or 17, maybe even 18.

Also having a baby will speed her development and it is entirely possible for her to give birth. It probably won’t be a comparatively easy one and if I’m not misremembering too much her and the baby are at greater risk. I think however some of the problems of teen pregnancy are from the mothers to be not knowing what to do and not getting prenatal care.

Since I’ve run out of technical things to say I’m going to stop. To consider it beyond the logistics is a kind of horrible I don’t want to go anywhere near.

Kricket, there was a doctor speaking about DNA and cloning last week at our church, and one of the reasons why kids might be hitting puberty even earlier than before (age 7 or 8?!?) icould be because of all those genetically-modified foods out there. Who knows what we’re eating, and how it will affect us? Certainly this food isn’t labelled! Now, I’ve seen some weird kids, but I don’t think they’ve hit puberty yet! (I’d hope…)

My first reaction was exactly like Gundy’s… then I read the thread and my disgust and revulsion have only gotten stronter. I’m guessing that the kid decided to keep her child because having an abortion done on a 10-year-old would be very detrimetal to her development? I agree with all the people’s reactions here so far.

My God… I can’t imagine having to go through that at 10!

I cannot imagine it either! Jesus wept.
When I was 10, I wanted a kitten more that anything else, and i wanted to learn how to skateboard, and to get the hang of my rollerskates

I would think that having a baby at 10 might speed up development to allow for pregnancy and birth, but that speeding-up process is going to cause some problems. For instance, I would assume that she will never reach her “true” adult height. She might be at risk for osteoporosis, as well, because lots of calcium is added to the bones during the teen years, and her body might be past that stage after birth. Her baby will probably also be premature, after a high risk pregnancy. For some reason, the younger moms have more risk for pre-eclampsia, and premature birth. Man, poor thing. Think he’ll get probation because he’s old, and the county doesn’t want to pay for his care? I hope, if he’s found guilty, that a suitable punishment is found.

Having a child at 11 could harm her physical development, because kids are still growing at that age, and whatever nutrients she’s putting into her body might be diverted to the fetus’s development. It could even happen the other way around, though, and the baby would be born small or sickly.

And Flamsterette, this is not the kind of thread to be spreading scare stories about GMO foods.â€
