How smart to have live singing so people don’t clap during the Memorial!
Steve Jobs?
damnit, peter falk’s “as you wish” made me tear up a little.
Whitney died in 2011? I could have sworn that was only a couple weeks ago…
Funded Pixar.
I think ending with Elizabeth for the memorial was the right choice. Nicely done.
That was a generally well-done montage. Leaving Liz for the end so if the applause started was smart.
It’s “since the last Oscars”, not actual calendar year.
In Memoriam was well done. I think this is the first time that the audience didn’t applaud the big names and (probably) ask “Who?” about some of the rest. They must have implored them to hold the applause until the end.
Uh-oh, I think we’re running short.
WTF Natalie, you just spoiled the ending of The Artist!!!
No doubt, Fusoya. WTF was she (or the person who wrote that) thinking?
Did Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman have any scenes together in “The Professional”?
hoping for gary oldman…
Well, getting complimented by Natalie Portman would be a highlight of my life, if no one else’s.
Er, doesn’t sound like she actually wrote them, though.
Gary Oldman’s glasses are so cool! I mean his real glasses, not his George Smiley glasses.
Don’t they still have to do the lifetime achievement award? Or the humanitarian award? Or did I sleep through those?
Well, Jean Dujardin was indeed fabulous in The Artist.
Would have been great to see Natalie Portman give an award to Gary Oldman.
No…Jean is bad choice. Were so many better.
