Great, now they get to put “Starring Academy Award Winner” on this poster:
I was pulling for Clooney, or even Pitt … but Dujardin was pretty darn good as well. His arched eyebrow alone probably deserves an Oscar.
Jean didn’t mention Harvey W. He’ll never work in this town again.
Actually, that was probably true anyway.
Great scene when he confronts her when she comes to his office to kill him.
I have to disagree. Jean duJardin was more effective in the trailer for The Artist than Brad Pitt has been in his entire career.
For my money - would have been Pitt -given the choices/
Wow I actually teared up from the Better Life clip.
I think he and Demian were the best. I felt like I was watching George and Brad, not their characters. They were both better in their other movies this year. And I hated TTSS, so Oldman wasn’t cutting it for me.
I love that guy! I’m proud that I saw (in the theater!) his previous two films with director Michel Hazanavicius, the two James Bond parodies OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies, and OSS 117: Lost In Rio.
Lots of good nominees there. Personally, I was pulling for Oldman, since he is WAY overdue, but DuJardin was just so great in that film that it was no surprise there.
Best actress is another one that could go any way. Be ready to be surprised.
Is the band being led by A.R. Rahman?
Well we have a pretty good idea how Best Picture is going to go at this point.
Oh you’re so wrong. If nothing else he can play a villain!!
Yeah, I guess my write-in vote for Drive Angry probably won’t make a difference at this point.
I must say, I kind of like this method of last year’s winner saying a little bit about each of he nominees. Better than bringing out five presenters to talk about the nominees, anyway.
Colin and Meryl, remembering Mamma Mia! Ha!
YAY!!!
Go Meryl!
Yay Meryl!
Whoa! Did not see Meryl Streep winning.
Did I see Viola Davis get up prematurely?
