Agree. I only liked a few things about Les Miz, but she was one of them.
You know what’s interesting? It seems like whenever someone needs a bit of a Star Trek musical theme, they go to Next Generation even if the Original Series music would make more sense in context.
Okay, maybe that’s not interesting. But it has been something I’ve noticed.
Oh Dear God. I was hoping they were joking about Ted. Liked the movie, didn’t need this.
I tend to agree that Eddie Murphy should have won the Oscar. It’s the best he has ever been IMO. Theory is he lost because of Norbit. I don’t begrudge Arkin’s win, he’s great too, but for awhile there it seemed like it was Murphy’s to lose, and he did.
It’s also the tenth anniversary of Chicago"s best movie win in 2003. I dunno what’s up with Dreamgirls, though.
How are they doing Tes?
I was gonna freak out if that puppet actually pulled the card out.
Argo… Rhymes with Fargo… Destined to win.
A tie? Really?
well, that’s true for most productions of les miserables.
A tie?
Oh man, a tie! I’m weirdly excited by that. I’ve never seen a tie before.
A tie?
I had no idea a tie wasn’t even possible.
Well, I guess that blows everybodies Oscar pool!
Tie? Bullshit. Make the contenders fight to the death if you have to. This isn’t France. We aren’t all winners here.
Funny story .. it’s not really Ted onstage. It’s actually Richard Parker from Life of Pi, but they digitized it into Ted. Movie magic!
And a tie for sound editing. That’s pretty cool.
So there isn’t a tie-breaking procedure in the Oscars? Some sort of fight to the death on stage or anything?
Apparently ties have happened before. Huh.
has a tie ever happened before?
I like the way you think, kiddo.
He’s real, didn’t you see the movie?!
Pre-CG’d. Audience can see him on the monitors.
I’m sure Seth and the animators had to do Ted reading all the nominees, then the producers picked the version of him reading the winner at that moment.
Well, Skyfall did have pretty good sound.
