87th Academy Awards viewing thread

They just showed A Single Life during Sunday Morning on CBS today. It was great!

Feast was so wonderful. Glad it won. At least the animation categories got one right…

Hey! I just found out that I *have *seen one of the nominated films! And it won!

Dammit. Feast was cute, but the Dam Keeper was lovely.

Zoe Saldana and The Rock present Animated Feature. How To Train Your Dragon 2 will win. The Lego Movie should win. Oh, wait…
Loved NPH’s joke about distracting the Lego movie people during this award.
WOAH! Big Hero 6!! Great, I loved that! Never thought it had a chance though.

Zoey and her Saldanas. Nice dress

I think that was the first big surprise of the evening!

HAIRY BABY! IT WON.

I liked LEGO more but BH6 was very deserving in its own right.

Correction: I’ve seen *two *of the nominated films, and they ***both ***won.

Next year, I think I may need to hire myself out

Crew in the cheap seats, of course.

It surprised me too because everyone said it wouldn’t, but you’d think it would be the forerunner being a Disney picture in a no-Pixar year.

Kanye West needs to run up on the stage and demand they give the Oscar to The LEGO Movie.

Zoe S wins for Best Dress so far.

Are you maybe thinking about Liam Hemsworth, Gale in The Hunger Games? His brother Chris is Thor.

Oh, I’m glad!

I agree that Chloe (I’ll get her name right one of these days) needed to keep her hands out of her pockets.

Ok maybe that’s it. There a bunch of young hot white guys with similar names that I can’t tell apart.

I really, really, really, did not need to see NPH in his undies. WTF???

Beside that, he’s doing a dud of a job, IMO. Get someone more dynamic and funny next year.

The wife and I don’t understand the rage about The Lego Movie. We watched it last year and found it mediocre. Guess you have to be a certain young-ish age to get it.

So which time zones are left out? “Close to 24 time zones around the world…” That’s almost all of them, right?

Siam, I’m a middle-aged lady who never owned a Lego in her life, and I loved it.

Chris Pratt and Felicity Jones present Production Design. Grand Budapest Hotel! (so glad Mr. Turner was nominated)

Grand Budapest has won more Oscars than any other movie so far.

I love the backgrounds they put together for the production design nominees. Really neat, detailed, and showed a lot of thought put into them.
