Kalhoun, you know you’re one of my buds! Aren’t we a pair! You know if I shake and twist this thing too much, I’ll be all bent out of shape…
Noone Special, it is posts like “For one day, the guitar shall gently laugh, instead of weeping!” that make you special. I wish for you many long years of gentle laughter. Pax.
Lease Original User Name Ever, if you have a handful of bugs, you are absolutely required to attend the party! Glad you made it!
Paul: Where do bugs go in winter?
Ringo: Search me…
ArchiveGuy, at first I thought the Ramones were a little derivative, but now I think they have a sort of negative energy that defines and justifiably exploits the existential “noir” that the Beatles hinted at, but left largely unexplored. Oh wow.
cochrane, when you say that you’ll mend a fuse when my lights have gone, I’m going to assume that this is in reference to the lyrics to When I’m 64 and that you aren’t commenting on any bewildered looks behind my eyes. I don’t even know where the fuse box is in my house!!! Thanks!
zyada, I LOVE IT! That’s exactly what expresses the joy I have felt all day! It is really cool that you do that and that you have shared that here. I thank you!
AHunter3, you know me too well. Before I got out of bed this morning, I reached for the remote control for the CD player and played two songs: When I’m 64 was the first one. Within you and Without You was the other. You got me! Thanks for everything always.
anyrose, that’s such an up song isn’t it! (Did you see the dancing in zyada’s post?) Thanks for the colorful greeting. I like living large!
gardentraveler, I did tell my mother about this thread. She doesn’t quite understand, but she has gotten used to the idea that I talk to real people on the computer since I brought home her son-in-law from a BBS 21 years ago. She wanted to make sure that I tell you that she is 94.
eleanorigby, the party wouldn’t have been the same without you! But tell me about the face…who is it for?
swampbear, that’s a really nice thing to say! And your choice for a birthday present is very special. That’s a really, really good song to begin with. The video clips are fascinating to watch. For someone my age, that was just the day before yesterday. And for me personally, it was interesting to note the name of the person who posted that to the internet. penny and 143 are significant to me for reasons I won’t go into.
DMark, your verbal snapshot of John and Yoko in Central Park is a perfect way to end the day for me. How beautiful! I can’t see it through your eyes, but I can always imagine.
I’ve had a terrific day both here and with my husband. (He really did go out and bring home the best lamb pasanda in town!) We went to a butterfly oasis and that was just beyond words. (I named them all after you guys!) I hope I haven’t left anyone out of my greetings to all of you.
Now it’s time to say goodnight, but here comes the sun. DMark, YOU SAY IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY?
The party moves to your place! Happy Birthday!!!
