Al Gore in the last decade. There was that “Inconvenient Truth” thing, that was pretty huge, the Nobel Peace Price. Don’t get that sitting at home watching reruns of the Simpsons, he helped Al Jazeera launch their American branch. He was on AAPL’s board of directors and, if that’s not enough for you, on top of the lecture circuit, he’s also a visiting professor at quite a few top schools (UCLA, Columbia etc).
What what kills me, Acey, is that while I did know some of this right off the top of my head, it was ALL in his opening wiki paragraph. You could have just clicked on it before making another ignorant statement like ‘Gore faded away into obscurity over a decade ago’ when what you meant is ‘I haven’t heard his name much in the last few years’.
