Bad day yesterday. My horse (Ariel) had a farrier appointment (new shoes). She aced up and we had to sedate her. Had to stay at the barn til 7 for the sedation to wear off so she could have supper. I almost vomited and passed out from the anxiety. Got home and ate a bunch of junk food instead of dinner. Not a good idea. I got a new laptop last week, and even though I’m on vacation, decided to check work email. Of course I get a bizarre message and the apps wouldn’t open. Don’t know if it’s the laptop or what. I should go grocery shopping but don’t feel like it.
Happy Hump Day!
Going to be hot today, 90 degrees and N.O.S.
I dropped Ripple off at day care and when I got home I decided to start irking in the yard. That didn’t last long, within 10 minutes I was hot and sweaty. Then something bit me on the leg, drawing blood, so I said enough for now.
I have to go to the bank later today, and my son wants to go to the Mexican restaurant for lunch.
He also needs to put down the weed killer when he wakes up.
Ruble, I was looking in Pendleton County, but I think that is further in than I want to go. I was also looking at Rada, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rada,_West_Virginia
I drove through there coming home and the name stuck with me.
I like Wardensburg, population 271.
And I love Seneca Rocks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca_Rocks
I like mountains. And rocks.
I* was* considering this house in Va, https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/5573-Mountain-Tpke_Hightown_VA_24465_M51246-77540?ex=VA621293398&view=qv
until I saw the fugly kitchen ![]()
I hope whoever does buy it appreciates it, and that it isn’t sold to a developer.
{{{WetOne}}}
Hope your nerves hold out Peaches.
Bullsh…
::revives Doggio::
That’s just the hurricane beer that’s gone, right? You still have the regular beer, & the tornado beer, & the power outage beer, & the snowstorm beer, right? ![]()
Sari, are we back to a Mumper compound? It looks like plenty of room to launch a balloon but need to look at surrounding area in regards to landing said balloon.
Morning all. While Moooommm may be cooling down, it’s going to 94F today and it looks like temperatures in the 90’s are forecast for the next 10 days. Oh joy.
Need to get ready and make an Oscar Mayer braunsweiger run to the only store that carries it in the county (hey, I’ve eaten it for 55 years, old habits die hard).
Peaches, hope the ‘older folks’ all get taken care of and that the hurricane pretty much misses you. And that son listens to his mother…
wet one, hope Arial is fine. And you too.
Sari, you’d think the Boy would like the moves to WV, lots less people to avoid…
FCM, usually it’s dogs that get me in the privates, my sympathies to FCD.
Nettie, idiots abound at all ages; youth especially. Hang in there.
Ok, time to toast some raisin bread. All y’all take care.
You don’t like retro kitchens??? ![]()
Yep, That kitchen is fugly. It doesn’t match the rest of the house though. I love the house.
Blurf Irking of course. Blurf
Sari I’d say move if you want to and get yourself another dog. Your house, your rules/wants etc.
Peaches good to see you! I hope the child behaves.
My dog Kona died unexpectedly yesterday, for those not on Facebook. We wasn’t feeling well, so I took him to the vet. By the time we got there, he had died. It was a surprise and horrible.
(((((Sunny))))), so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.
I have been sharpening my pointy stick today, got lots of marks missing and we have our late summer exam board tomorrow so I need lots of marks to not be missing. Thus the pointy stick and the exams unicorn must be deployed!
hugsss sunny
{{{sunny}}} that is a horrible surprise.
{{{{Sunny}}}} Sorry about Kona.
I promise I read all the posts, but nothing else stuck in my brain pan. Possibly because Wifey hasn’t left yet and has been talking to me. I love the woman, but she does tend to go on a bit.
In other news: I Had an echo cardiogram yesterday and my ejection fraction was/is 55%! :D:D That’s pretty much what a normal person has. At my last EC in '15 I was at 45%. Before they put the pacemaker in I was at 15% and I could ‘hear Time’s winged chariot hurrying near’.
More later.
((Sunny))
Had a training day today. At least they provided lunch. This week is kinda busy; new job Monday, Tuesday, training day Wednesday, old job Friday, Saturday, then helping at the honey stall on a local show on Sunday… Kinda looking forward to tomorrow; I’m supposed to be a slacker stoodint, dammit!
Next week’s gonna be similar, then the week after I’m only doing one job and only two days, before skool starts back up on the 25th.
{{{Sunny}}}. It’s always sad when a beloved pet dies; when it is not expected it’s even worse.
Bumba, I trust an ejection/fraction of 55% is good–it sounds slight risque to me…
Braunsweiger run completed and also scoped out the soccer field the girls are playing at on Saturday (it’s about 10-12 miles away in another AYSO region). At least I can find it (I hope), no hoping the parents can.
10U boys soccer practice today, they are actually a good bunch (the 12U girls, however…), so we’ll keep working to get better.
Press on.
Saw the Dr. and it is indeed Trigger Thumb. He prescribed a long acting anti inflammatory to use for a while to see if it makes it better or go back and get shots in it. He said the medicine will probably work. He also said the shots are very painful so medicine is going to work.
I did all the accounts payable that I can today. I am thinking I shall slip out a little early today since I had an exceptionally long day yesterday.
Adulting since early morning. Dropped off some thrift store donations, shopped, got candy for Phunfest
scouted my new tributary to Da Jungle and actually found time for food. Now I’m off to mine the boxes.Supper will be ravioli with my amazing sketty sauce, plus green beans-onions-portabellos all cooked up with oyster sauce and soy sauce. Much yum!
I’ll be working Firday, and possibly Saturday, to help beat back a backlog of drawings that are long overdue. Next payday will be a big 'un!
Sunny: I’m sad for you.
Howdy Y’all! I accomplished mowage, followed by a ker*splash in the cee-mint pond to cool off. Then I got all showered, had N.O.L., acheived nappage, and made sup. After sup we went to the visitation for a bit and are now home, comfy, and chillage ensues.
{{{Sunny}}} so sorry about Kona!
I hope that Ariel is doing better wet one.

For the second morning in a row, my email has been wonky. Yesterday, IT uninstalled Office and installed Office365. It seemed to help for a day. Same issue this morning. Seems that something was changed in the log in during the upgrade. I used the semi-vacant computer at the next desk for email.
They diagnosed my car today. It wasn’t a blue tooth issue. It was what I initially thought it was: a blown USB port. The low level techs available on Saturdays couldn’t figure that out. I can pick my own buggy up tomorrow after irk.
I mentioned the cigarette [del]reek[/del] smell to the service desk. She apologized and guessed that I got the blue one. Yep! She’s ready to unload that one on sales.
We have a new neighbor and I guess one of them smokes. I can smell even at a distance. How in the world did I ever smoke? It will be 28 months in a couple days since I quit.
We are getting take in as neither of us wanted to cook.
