A bleary eyed MMP

{{{Sunny}}}
Ya know Spidey, an MMP compound isn’t such a bad idea. I think if we all pooled our funds we could buy it. Plenty of room for balloons, and horses, and pups, and guests. And since it’s so close to my family, I volunteer to stay there and keep an eye on it.

FCM - I didn’t know retro was a synonym for fugly.

I agree Butters, the whole house is beautiful until you get to the kitchen, which doesn’t not fit the house at all. The view out the windows is nice though. It may just be the angle of the pic, but it looks like you can’t even get into the cabinets next to the fridge.
You are right though MetalMouse, he should like living where there aren’t many people. I pointed this out to him today and he still is adamant about not wanting to move.
I can’t afford it right now anyway. Well I could afford it of course, if I sold this house first. In order to that though I need to get some irk done around here. One of which is fixing the walls in the back closet where the squirrels chewed through. But there is no sense in doing that until the neighbor fixes the broken window in her house and I can fix the wall on the other side.
I think that window will not be fixed until she moves out, because … I know it’s just not going to get done.

I contacted Ripple’s breeder today, she got a new litter on 8/28, available 10/21. I have a choice between three females, two fawns and one apricot. As much as I love the color, the apricot is out because I am not paying $400 more for color.
My son won’t like it, but I’m pretty sure I am going to send in a deposit.
The reason I take my son’s feelings into consideration Sunny, is that he will be helping to take care of her. While Ripple is pretty much my dog, my son does help to take care of him when I am irking or have to go out. He will definitely have to help out with a puppy.
Since we have been going to the park though, Ripple has very little to do with my son. He is totally bonded with me. I wonder if it bothers my son much.

Then I have to deal with guilt because there is a shar pei at the shelter. An almost 3 year old black male. He has issues though, he doesn’t like men, which we could probably deal with. He has to be the only pet, which is a problem.
Although you never know, there was a woman at the park with an elkhound mix. She was the 4th person to adopt him, as he is not housebroken and doesn’t get along with other dogs. She’s had him for two weeks and not one accident in the house, and he gets long with her two dogs and the dogs at the park.
Swampy - I saw this today and thought of you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5tqE293T_8

I ate too much at lunch, Chili Colorado, which set my mouth on fire, and a drink, and fried ice cream. I should have cut the ice cream in half and gave half of it it to my son. He got flan, he wasn’t too impressed with it. He said it was good but not something he would get again.

Evening all. Nappage has been napped and soccer practice completed, so all is good in this part of North Ali-bama. Will nuke me some mac-n-cheese here in a bit and see if the dishwasher has completed it cycle yet (that’s my only issue; it takes 219 minutes to run the cycle I like to use).

Sari, I’d go with the pup, getting another Shar-Pei nearer Ripples age may set up dominance issues that you don’t need. And puppies can make even the hardest hearts (sons) melt.

Butters, my mom smoked all her life and I got used to it, but since I’ve been on my own I’ve never had an ashtray in my place and can smell smoker’s a long way off. Hope it doesn’t get too bad. Hope the medicine works. I hate shots.

Red, good news on the car. Always best to drive what you are comfortable in.

I really feel for one lady whose kid plays for me; first she was in a car accident, then when she got out of the car she was side-swiped by another car (luckily only bad bruising) and now that she is recovering from that, she had kidney stones. Hope she does make it to some games this year.

OK, need to find sustenance. And Cherry Kool-Aid.

I’m sorry Sari. I’m a bit frazzled at the moment.

That’s like me with the loaner car. Ten years ago, it likely wouldn’t have phased me.

The candiru, how are they doing in the “cement pond”?

{{{{Sunny}}}}

I’m so sorry.

I missed this before. As I’ve said before I miss Sam the Dog more than I do most relatives. My best vibes to you and electronic hugs as well.

Two more days at this branch and then I’m off to the wild unknown.

Building Boss announced something I pretty much knew last month; he’s leaving. And Least-Favorite-Person is getting his job. It is impossible, its against every policy Da Jungle has, and its a done deal. I picked the right time to bail because another week or two and I was a dead man.

Worked. Extra busy due to the people getting their prescriptions before Dorian.

: revives :
I drink whiskey for power outages, since it doesn’t need to be chilled.

22 years later, it doesn’t bother me.
{{{{WetOne}}}} , glad Ariel made it through.

Sorry for!!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 76 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 98 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Summer is still here with a vengeance. The big items on today’s agenda are Bill’s memorial service this mornin’ at eleven (it shall be large and in charge), a visit to the Pubic Sto’ to lay in some provisions this afternoon, and a trip over to the church house to haul the biiiiiiiiiiiig trash cans down to where they go for pickup tomorrow. Since Moanday was a holiday, trash pickup is a day behind. We shall swipe The General’s sup this evenin’.

flytrap since candiru are fresh water fish and the cee-mint pond is salt water, my guess is they’re not doin’ so good. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sari I saw that video yestiddy. She deserved to lose her southern card for puttin’ cast iron in the dishwasher. Also, sugar in cornbread is an abomination!

wetone glad to know Ariel is doin’ better.

red glad they figured out the problem and that you can get your wheelz back tomorrow.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, alack, and bother, I must purtify and don clothin’ appropriate for funeralizin’. Needless to say I shall come back to da cave and don more comfy yet suitable for the public attire before goin’ to the sto’ and the church house.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Today, I definitely fit the title of this thread. Roxy woke me shortly after I fell asleep, and I’d gotten just enough rest that I was up till almost 11:30. Then I woke twice during the night - once dreaming that it was time to get up! Hence, I’m in full zombie mode this morning. And wouldn’t you know today I need to do engineer stuff to help Josh. Dunno if I can brain today.

On the plus side, we should be done with the 90s, perhaps for the year. Huzzah for that!

Guess I can’t avoid it much longer - time to dive into the Josh project.

Happy Thursday!!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Gordie has been underfoot all morning. Alex Catt has merely hornked on the couch.

Morning all. Up for the 5am micturition, went back to sleep until 0630 and expect nappage is in my future. Garbage has been taken out and got one more job on my housework list done, so who knows waht marvels of industry I will attempt today (hint: not much). Two soccer practices tonight, 5-6:30 for the U10 and 6:30-8 for the U12.

Moooomm, September is the month I really wish I was farther north…96F predicted for today and nothing below 90F before the middle of the month.

swampy, hope Bill gets a good sendoff.

ruble, sounds like your timing was good.

Stay hunkered Dooggiiioooo

Blurf at Irk. Blurf

Up and been doing laundry. Other than that trying to chill slightly.

Curses! Foiled again!

For some reason, our license server crashed earlier, so no one was able to work. I heard the outlook server also choked, ergo, no email. But it’s all back up… so far.

It’s been one of those days.

And it’s my baby girl’s birthday - she’s 34! I may be nice and suggest we all go out for dinner tonight.

Swampy, the ceement pond is salt water? Do you have sand at the edges & a wave machine in it?
Seriously, what does one need to do, in terms of adding salt/chemicals, etc. to prevent algae blooms in one?

Well, that’s a pisser.
OTT, SSDD

Happy Thorsday!

It was chilly out there this morning. So glad I wore my hoodie to the park. I wish had wore gloves and long pants too.

I’m sending a deposit on the orange puppy today. I was trying to choose between orange and yellow, and while yellow has a cuter face. my heart is with the orange.
I hope I am choosing the right one.
It was a lot easier when I didn’t have a choice.
I am thinking of naming her Jiggle. So I can have Ripple and Jiggle.
One of the women at the park says I should have named Ripple Jimmy Durante because he has such a big nose.

I haven’t told my son yet.

I feel for you Butters. I hate when my neighbors sit out front to smoke, it comes right in my living room window. I don’t know if they are still planning to move but if they do I want to give the landlord a list of people NOT to rent to, and smokers are on the list.

Back from my trip to WI to see kids and grandkids. I’ve altered my will to leave everything to grandaughter Emily, who immediately crawled up in my lap and made herself at home. What a sweetie.

Arrived back on Tuesday and went shopping on Wednesday. Discovered some nice looking mini apple strudels at Winco, so bought a clamshell of them to try. Had one last night, and then this morning thought “Hey, why not”, and grabbed one and bit into it. While happily chewing, I glanced down at the piece in my hand and saw that it was teeming with ants. Spat it into the sink. Looked at the package and it’s also full of ants. Off to the trash bin with yez! Well, we really don’t need all that sugar anyway.

Stupid ants. :frowning:
