Howdy Y’all! Bill got a biiiiiiiiiiiiig send off. The Priest who did the homily knew Bill well, so it was full of humor. The crowd was large as well. There was a N.O.L./reception afterwards but I did not hang around. I came back to da cave, changed, made and et a sammich and then went over to the church house, :eek:Wally*World:eek:, and the Pubic Sto’. Everything is stored away now and da bear is chillin’.
Spidey I don’t have to add chlorine as the salt makes chlorine. I do add algaecide because down here anyway, algae can be a problem even though I’ve been told one does not necessarily have to with a salt water pool. The water is softer and there’s no chlorine smell. Also does not fade swim suits like a chlorine pool will. I spend about a third as much as I did when the cee-mint pond was chlorine. The salt and algaecide are relatively cheap.
I want to buy/name two race horses. Durante’s Proboscus will win by a nose while Maximus Derriere will be a bit slower, bringing up the rear. 
I want two pet salmon: Ella and Rushdie.
We’re taking Daughter out for her b-day, but SIL has class, so he won’t be joining us. Saves us a few bucks. 
It’s overcast and rain is promised. I think I’ll be sleeping with Mel tonight, unless we’re late getting back from dinner, since I have to work tomorrow - I don’t need to wake up with a Mel hangover.

Had the termite guy come by, no termites have shown their faces about the house lately. Now need to get ready for 3 hours of soccer practice.

I tried irking in the yard today but something is making me itch.
I took Ripple to the dog wash to give him a bath. Sah-son didn’t go with me and I think it would go easier with two people. I cleaned the hair out of the sink the best I could, but the time ran out and you have to spend a minimum of $10. I wasn’t spending another $10 to rinse the sink. There should be a warning beep or something to let you know your time is almost ended.
Ripple was not happy, so I got him some ice cream on the way home.
He is shedding worse now than he was before.

I thought about bringing him some Krispy Kremes on the way home to break the news, but I got him and oreo cheesecake milkshake instead.
You are right MetalMouse - without me he would have to go out and face the world.
I’m hoping I can get him to go to the dog park, he can take the puppy on the small dog side while I take Ripple on the big dog side.
Or vice versa, anything to get him out.
It has been a weird day weather wise. One minute it looks like it’s gonna rain and the next the sun is shining.

Back from Texas Roadhouse - and STUFFDED!!! I got the small serving of salmon, but they have those amazing yeast rolls and we had fried pickles… yeah, I ate too much.
Time for some pre-sleep chillage. No Mel tonight, tho. If I can’t take it before 7PM, I can’t wake up well enough in the morning. Maybe I’ll just have an adult beverage to help me sleep.

I brought my car home with me, but it will need to go back Monday or Tuesday. 
When they told me that the part came in and it would be ready, the service desk didn’t realize that they were also replacing the radio console (I didn’t either, since they told me yesterday that it was just a blown USB port). After this, I plan to take it to the Hyundai dealership in the old town. That one is owned by the same family who own the Chevy one and I always had good service from them for my truck. My sister did the dealing on my car and insisted upon using the dealership 15 miles away rather than 25 because they were almost $1K lower. Some things you want to spend money on.
I am on the low key side of Dorian. But go 10 miles past work, and it’s tornadoes and flooding.:eek: Watching the Packers/Bears game. : makes rude gesture at CatDude : :D;)

mmmooommmmm your last nights supper has flung a craving on me for that veg sauté. Firday is our usual steak night at home but instead we are meeting in the middle which it is almost exactly middle, at the new good place ****Dinner is served at 530 pm so timing works for us. I’m gonna get me another serving of the shrimp, homemade sausage and duck breast grits dish which tomato and bacon gravy on the side. Easily the best meal I’ve ever had.

What I eat is this: Robot or human? Been eating it all my life and the same way; as a sammich spread on bread or buns with lettuce and tomato, or plain with chicken noodle soup (for dunkin’ purposes). Never cared much for other brands, been an Oscar Meyer man my whole life.
Soccer has been practiced, the kids did pretty well, now to get through the girls’ tomorrow and three games on Saturday…
Didn’t get off the field until after 8pm and just didn’t feel like coming home and fixing dinner, so Logan’s Roadhouse meatloaf filled me back up.
No nappage today so bedtime soon.

Temps have definitely cooled and we had a bit of rain overnight. I stopped for gas (and a breakfast sammich) on my way in today, and it was breezy standing at the pump. And leaves are turning and starting to fall. Could it truly be autumn??? :eek:
Another busy day but I don’t think I’ll have to come in tomorrow. I might work Moanday, tho - if SIL doesn’t have to. We shall see.
I know post parties, etc, are frowned upon, but I did notice that as of 1 Aug, I’ve been on the Dope for 19 years! I need to sit down and figure out how many Dopers, and Mumpers, I’ve met for reals. Right off the top of my head, I can name swampy, ruble, sari, BooFae, Tugig (where’s he been hiding?), BBBobbio, Spidey, taters… yeah, I’m going to make a list before there are any hurt feelings.
