I’m tired, sick and grumpy. It’s not good for a Thursday morning. I stopped at the pharmacy last night to get something for The Sick, finally settled on some Sudafed “congestion relief” tablets. Of course, they’re probably aimed at Sean and his poo rather than my germs!
Anyway, I think now I feel worse than I did yesterday.
On the plus side, we went to the pub last night for beerverages and had a little bit of Beartown Brewery’s Pandamonium and a bit of York Brewery’s Yorkshire Terrier. After that I settled for a couple of pints of water because I was coughing so badly.

Good morning all! Yes, I’m up and caffeinating, and hoping to get an early start to work today. 
Yesterday was a total grumpy day for me plus I was wrung out tired, leaving me about worthless for anything. LOL
BioRosie, glad that your brother will get in today, and hope that Smokey is giving you lots of kitty lovin’, cause you know he missed you. The MMP folks are all with you in spirit!
Caffeine has not completely kicked in just yet, and my brain fog is not letting me remember what I wanted to say!! Ah, the aging brain - but it sure beats the alternative (yeah, I say that more than I want to admit these days, but doggone it, tis true!). Get well wishes being sent to Maggie the Beagle; hope that all turns out well for her.
Hopefully, today will be a good day and I won’t be so tayred at the end, so then I can post later on. Oh yes, and Swampy, I trust that you got some good appreciatin’!!

Ok, so I just completed this online career assessment thingy as part of a job application. It was required or I woud not have taken it. See, I knew everything it was gonna say about me already. I just read my “results” and as always, it’s everything I already know. Heck, I’ve given this type of assessment bajillions of times, so I oughta know. Seems like a lot of places like 'em though. Morning! Weekend is almost here – yay! It’s chilly and damp out, but with any luck the rain has departed for the time being. I expect an insanely busy day today. It’s a good thing this is a long weekend for us Canucks. I’ma gonna need it.
Bibs - Hey, even the coolest, most refined folks need a bit of toilet humor now and again. And don’t try and tell me you haven’t laughed when a TV or movie character farted at some inconvenient time or place. Of course you did! Under the right circumstances, farts are funny!
LiLi - I’m also told that butterscotch or butter-rum candies are soothing, too.
Hank - I apologize – has no one heard of a courtesy flush up in here? Honestly. 
Snakes - Aw! There go my plans for the ultimate anti-depressant. I guess I’ll just have to figure out a way to bottle the whole cat that’s a little more portable than the Bonsai Kitten.
Swampy - I blame another forum for revealing them to me. Well, just the one – the Bristol Stool Chart which, contrary to my initial suspicion about the name, is not about seating arrangements in southwestern UK pubs, though it may be a commentary on their food. The other I found while trying to google the first, and it’s just about as cute a chart as a poop chart can get.

biotigs, I’m right with you on the Jericho thing. I HATE when a story line just vanishes and you can never know how it would have turned out. :mad: That’s why I don’t watch Lost.

Morning, all. I’m caffeinating and wishing I was back in bed. The cat was snuggled up in the crook of my arm with her purr turned up to “Loud Diesel” setting, and it felt really, really cruel to disturb her. But eventually my bladder won over her purring.
I tell you, Pugs, since I do watch Lost, I was ready to have yesterday be an AWFUL TV day because it looked like they were going to kill off one of the characters, spent the whole show setting it up only to have the character not die. If that had happened, I would have been even MORE PO’d than I already am about the Jericho thing. Maybe someone will at least do a two-hour wrap-up movie? I mean, otherwise how will we know how Jericho will win the war against New Bern (cause we know they will)? And how will they catch the Evil Homeland Security guy who set up all the nukings in the first place? And will Heather ever come back from the Army camp in Wyoming and hook up with Jake? And won’t we even get to see Stanley and Mimi’s adorable frecked children? 
Anyway, so much for my fantasy TV life; I’d better go back to my real work life now and get something done. Have a good day, y’all!

I was recording Jericho since the season split to watch them all in a marathon. I went home and deleted them all last night. Oh well, it was pretty stupid anyway…
No poop or pee on the floor this morning! Yay for Ernie. I did take them all out at two in the morning when I got up to pee. This morning he was so funny - he and Lucy were playing and wrestling and tearing around the house so I threw them out for a while, and they continued outside. When I let them back in, Ernie looked like a drowned rat from rolling around in the dew!
Last night I took them both for a walk, with Lucy’s new harness and a retractable leash. Lucy was great (even though the harness is too tight and I have to take it back) but Ernie got his collar off and ran loose! He thinks it’s a game and won’t come. <grr> We finally enticed him when I implored a neighbor to help, and she went and got doggie treats! Yay for nice neighbors! So, I will get a harness for little Houdini, too. I was just out for a leisurely stroll! Jeez…
I got a new 'puter at work! I’m still getting used to it. The monitor is huge!
ETA: The weather here is spectacular! Low humidity, high in the low 80’s, low in the high 50’s - thru Sunday!!! Woo-hoo!
I’m still holding out hope that the loud screams of complaint on the CBS programming phone number and their website will induce them to pick up Jericho again. The folks over at TWoP helpfully provided the phone number (you just leave a message, it’s a feedback line for just that purpose), and if you go to the CBS website their feedback link is aaaaall the way down at the bottom left of the main page. But alas, I think we’re probably out of luck.
Can someone please give my motivation a swift kick in the rear so I can get busy here?
