A Brief History of Ratdom - AKA the MMP

I’m glad Maggie is back and okay. We await updates on the biopsy.

The baby so far shows a really profound preference for chicken sandwiches. I’m thinking the protein plus blandness is helpful. It’s like playing some kind of ridiculous guessing game, “Is beef okay? How about tacos, are they okay? Alright, do we still like lettuce? Is lettuce okay?”. I did feel a lot better after I threw up and then ate bread.

I’m sure you’re all very interested.
Sigh. Mr. Lissar is having a very extended and angry conversation with his mother right now. She told my BIL some… unhelpful things regarding the state of his marriage. Point of interest, when someone is terrified that they might be losing their wife and child, telling them, “There was never anything there, she never loved you, grow up.” is not helpful. Mr. Lissar is very angry. This is a mess.

Poop charts!

It’s remarkably quiet at the moment – not nearly as busy as it has been in the last while. I’m thankful for the reprieve.

Doggy - Glad Maggie’s surgery went well, even if she’d like to use your butt for a chew toy right now.

SCL - Cat hair is medicinal? Then I could make a bloody fortune packaging and selling my menagerie’s follicular leavings. Whaddya think Glaxo Smith-Kline would offer for a few hundred pounds of the stuff? 'Cos I could bundle that up in a couple of weeks easy.

Doc: Sean it says here you’ve been having poopage issues. I HOPE you’ve been keeping a chart…

Sean: Right here doc, on the bottom there are notes from the MMP’ers about my poopage too!

Here’s a pic of Maggie’s stitches.

Type 2 on Mindfield’s 2nd chart.

Rosie, I hope you’re doing better. You’re brother will be there soon. You’ll make it.

Whew - it was a long training day - I earned 2.2 credit hours.

rosie, welcome home and get better, dagnabbit. If you lived closer to me, I’d’a took a day off to sit with you. So it’s your own fault for living so far off. (That’s tough love, you know… )

swampy, my sweetie mowed most of the grass this morning before going to the boat. When I got home, I noticed immediately what he missed, but I won’t say anything because that would be nasty. I know how he hates yard work and I truly appreciate him whacking the lawn. He doesn’t have scraped knee booboos, but he does have a bum knee, which makes the whole pushing-the-mower-along-the-ditch thing kinda rough.

Good vibes to Maggie - she looks sooooooo sad.

It’s getting really dark here - t-storms are predicted. Yay for rain, boo for thunder (wussy dogs)

I’m starving. When **FCD ** gets his buns home (he’s en route) we need to decide about supper. Home or out??

For the record, running a glaze load in the kiln raises my electric bill by about $20. Which translates to less than a dollar per piece, more or less.

I repeat - is it Friday yet?

FCM I say pizza. Go out and eat it. It’s more fun that way.

Mindude I had no idea there was such a thing as poop charts. I hereby nominate you for the TMI of the week award for even knowin’ such things existed.

Sean you should aim for type three. Those look most normal.

doggio it looks like forgiveness is not forthcoming in that pic. I suggest more cookies.

Supper tonight is grilled chicken sallits. I made a big tossed sallit and finished grillin’ some boneless chicken breasties just a bit ago. I have some garlic cheesey bread ready to go in the oven once ol’ y’all know who gets here which will be shortly.

In the meantime, I think it’s time for a beerverage. CHEERS!

Well, the line of storms FCM is talking about just passed over us. There was a really nasty cell in our vicinity, but fortunately it passed just to our north, so we only heard thunder rumbling off in the distance even though we did have some good rain. So Rusty is currently quivering under my desk, but behaving himself quite well for a fraidydog. Poor baby, I wish I could just amputate his thunderstorm terror!

I was so PO’d about the Jericho cancellation that I got in a cleaning mood, so I cleaned up a lot of stuff in my office. I’ve been piling empty small boxes in the corner to break down and trash, so I finally got around to it. And then I went to the credit union, and stopped for toilet paper on the way home (we were nearly out, Swampy! Papa Tigs clearly fell down on his TP stocking job!), and now I’m sitting here in my cleaner office telling myself to work. No luck thus far, but I’m sure it’ll happen eventually.

I refuse to discuss what my poop is on Mork’s chart, or whether I scored below a 10 on the little poop test!

BrainPasture, cat hair is only medicinial to the owner of the cat who shed the hair; it’s not one-size-fits-all.

FCM - make sure you figure your electricity costs and a bit of overhead for the kiln into what you charge for your work. Don’t underprice!

Back to the books.

[Spinal Tap]These go to 11[/ST]
I gave Maggie her tuna and meds, her reaction: “shuuuuuuuunnnn!!!”

That’s cause Maggie needs a cookie. After all, she did have surgery!

BioTigs the shame of it all! Almost out of TP!!! That should never, ever happen. PapaTigs needs a stern talkin’ to is all I’m sayin’. What’s next, no soap for a week? :dubious:

Supper was tres nummy! Did I mention I made croutons? I bought a loaf of day old sourdough bread, chunked it up, tossed it in some melted butter, EVOO, salt, pepper, minced garlic, rosemary and thyme, then toasted the chunks in the oven at 325 Amurrkin for about twenty minutes, givin’ the chunks a toss about halfway through. Crouton perfectiony goodness! Anywho, we had sliced grilled chicken boobs over a nice tossed sallit with the croutons with ranch dressing. NUM!!!

I shall get “appreciated” shortly.

I price my stuff by looking at each piece and wondering what it’s worth. There’s no way I can price things based on my costs - no one would ever buy anything! If I’m lucky, someday, it’ll be a self-supporting hobby. Till then, it’s just fun. That’s what I keep telling myself.

It’s raining. It thundered. We got soaked when we were running our errands. We’re in for the night now.

I’m tired, I’m crabby.

Wife is being mesmerized by her TV again, with heat pad on her neck.

I’m gonna do some mindless work, and eat something.

I’m tired. I’m not crabby. Had an all-day meeting with some out-of-town people. That also meant we made sure to go to nice restaurants for both lunch and dinner. Yum.

Wow, it’s very TMI-ey in here today isn’t it? ::Sprays air freshener::

Sorry about the throwing up, LiLi. Hope this phase passes quickly. And yes, the idea is that you get a baby out of this (haven’t you been reading the books? )

I’m really really sleepy, so hopefully I’ll get into bed momentarily and have a good night’s sleep for a change.

Hope you’re doing OK, rosie. I notice you haven’t checked in today…

Off to bed.

GT

Wow. Real poop fest in here. :: holds nose as she walks through thread ::

Still slaving away on mine thesis. Plus I think I’m coming down with a cold. Lovely.

Hope it’s a head cold and you don’t to smell the poop here. At least the Poop Charts weren’t scratch 'n sniff…

I think I wrote 80% of my college thesis the night before it was due (20 pages or so.) Always fun…

Hey, my TMI was more fun than poop!

Hi everyone.

Woo-eeeeee! I am TAHRED. But, I’m overtired, so I can’t sleep.

LiLi, I’m sorry to hear about the puking. I know ALL about the puking thing. I was sick from day one until I delivered with both of my pregnancies. At any rate, the ol’ crackers, starch stuff is a good deal. Also, hard peppermint candies.

I’m sorry to hear about your BIL.

Wow, poo is the word, huh? I’ve got no interesting poo stories and I wouldn’t share, even if I did.

Rosie, hang in there! You know we’re all thinking about you. I know, it’s not the same as physical help, but hopefully our good vibes will help you feel just a little better.

Well, the move to another office seems imminent. I don’t know if you remember or not, but I talked about it a month or two ago. Today the boss called me in to tell me that it would probably happen at the end of next week, IF there are no union objections. I was all :dubious: . Yeah, technically I’m bargaining member, but in reality I have nothing to do with them. They’re worthless.

In order for me to physically move, the office I’m moving to will have to find different space for their two black belt members. If they can’t find space for them, I’ll remain in my current office, BUT: I will no longer be my current division’s asset, I would belong to the new division. So, if I can’t physically move, what is the freakin’ point of changing my rating chain? It is tres’ stupid.

I’m trying to look on the bright side. If I get to move, I’ll be in close proximity to other analysts and there will perhaps be an opportunity to exchange skillsets and information. Additionally, the office I would belong to has the alternative work schedule, which I really miss from my previous truly sucky job. I could have every other Friday off, which would be nice.

The Jericho thing kind of ticks me off too. Dammit. It was the only TV show Mr. Taters would watch with me. The cliff hanger ending really pissed me off as well, especially since it was in the wind even then it wouldn’t be back.
Yes, I realize they filmed these awhile ago. I can’t remember who upthread said it, but CBS doomed the show when they split the season. That just pisses people off.

Well, I guess I’ll go veg in front of the TV for a bit. Hugs to all.

OK, I read all the posts but since I have no poop stories, I got nuthin’ to add.

rosie, I hope you’re doing OK. I was sad to see that you didn’t post today. I hope it’s because you’re taking care of yourself and having a good rest. I hope to see you tomorrow.

Haze, good luck on that thesis!

swampy, your ability to add more TMI to a TMI subject amazes me. :stuck_out_tongue:
