Normally it wouldn’t trump the hottest man, however many times a night…but when you’re ill, it’s perfect.
I make mine from two sachets of Beecham’s cold and flu remedy (lemon flavour) with a bit of sugar, hot water and a generous dollop of whisky. Drink it while it’s hot, retire to bed and snooze!
I’m feeling better today - must be the combination of hot toddies and an early night with more than 2hrs sleep. Just as well 'cos 'im indoors will expect some amount of “celebrating” to be done later.

I actually fell asleep fairly early AND slept all the way through. Till just after 5, which is a bit early, but I seem to be rather awake. So I guess I’ll try to get some stuff done and then toddle off to work.

My parents are (finally) coming to visit this weekend. It’s been a year since they’ve been here which was when they helped me move. So I guess that also means it’s been a year since I moved here! :eek: And two years since I met KeithT in person! Hmm… we’ll have to ditch the parents for a while and do some “celebrating” on Sunday I think.
Anyway, we’re going to go to the zoo ('cause even if we’ve been there three zillion times already, my parents haven’t), the science museum, and an art museum. And we’re going to our favorite seafood place. And then we’ll cook for them a bit since a) we like to cook, b) we don’t often have people to… I’d say “appreciate” but swampy’s turned that into a dirty word… eat our food and tell us what marvelous cooks we are, and c) we actually get to use the nice-ish dishes we got for our wedding and some placemats! So it should be a fun weekend.

Everytime I see that commercial on the teevee it makes me want to know what a $99 bridal gown looks like since most of them are like gazillions of dollars.

Armpit farts? I never could do those, but at a hockey party a friend of mine taught me how to stick a straw into your armpit and blow…amazing results. We ended up with about half a dozen women sitting around with straws in their 'pits, and a couple of husbands/boyfriends looking suitably disgusted. Unfortunately one of the other attendees at said party had brought along a very small video camera and now we have to be really, really nice to him or we’ll all wind up on YouTube.

ems I agree – let’s see that wedding dress! I’m in a wedding dry spell as of late; no one in my family has tied the knot in a while and my sisters aren’t showing many symptoms of it. Maybe next year for one sister. Anyway, it’s been quite some time for the squeeing and the purchasing of teddies and wiping away a tear as the little girl walks down the aisle cue “Sunrise, Sunset”. Anyway, congratulations!

Morning, all. Man, this thread is turning weird this week. I like that.
It’s cool and grey and damp here today. I’m sitting here getting a couple short rush things done for noon. I love the internet; they upload the sound file and a PDF of any paperwork, I download it, print as needed, and turn the sound file into boring words on paper and email it back in. It sure beats all the FedExing we normally have to do. This here technology is definitely Seriously Cool sometimes.
But anyway, if I just sit here and talk about it I won’t get it done. So hugs/pats/ awws/whatevers as appropriate, and I’ll be back eventually. If I live that long.
