A Cancer- and Surgery-Free MMP

It’s almost 2 a.m. and I’m awake. My knee is hurting so bad that I can no longer sleep laying down. I seem to have found a spot that is almost comfortable sitting on the couch with my feet up on the recliner. Perhaps I can doze here for awhile. :frowning:

Rosie, check out thissite. They make custom bras, and bustiers too, I think. I had success with a bra from them until I lost weight and needed a new one. We’re working on getting me re-fitted (which they will do free of charge) for a new one.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

Taters hope they figure it all out soon. At least there was some good news. Also the tribute to the police officers was awesome!

Alien continued prayers and good thoughts headed out to the wife, you and family.

Pie and BioRosie now y’all have gotten BBBobbio, doggio and Special1 all stirred up again. :stuck_out_tongue:

Blurf

:starts: Um, what?! Oh, sorry, I was distracted by something…

It was supposed to rain yesterday and today, dammit. Instead were getting a bit of a drizzle here, a bit of a drizzle there. This is not going to solve our water problems…

Special Teen is taking a whole-day battery of tests today to apply for a particular program in the Intelligence Corps. It just hit me that she is already 17 (has been for a week!)
And is going to be finishing high-school in half a year!!:eek:
And is going to be going into Military Service in about a year…!!!:eek::eek:

I’m growing old… :frowning:

SNOW DAY SNOW DAY SNOW

(Runs through the MMP, throwing snow balls at everyone)

How did we let our kids grow up this quickly?

How did time pass so fast? (quietly hums Sunrise, Sunset)

Sigh.

It’s great that your kids are wonderful to watch grow up- imagine if they weren’t so special!

Double blurf.

Fortunately, I did manage to get some more sleep. Too bad I’m working alone today or else I’d just go back to bed again.

I woke up at 1.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep again, so I have been awake all night. Tonight we’re out for beerverages so it will be a late night and I won’t get as much sleep as I need again.

I can haz blurf? Kthxbai!

Thank you, Pie. I return the favor. There are other similar items out there in other catalogs - I’ve used this model - it helps.

Blurfitty blurf.

We’re supposed to have lots of wind today. Ick. (Hurricane Ike leftovers last year were more than enough for a very long time thankyewverymuch.)

Gotta get ready for work.

GT

Unsponsored blurfs today. I’m too tired to get worked up by websites about custom fit overtheshoulderboulderholders, but thanks for the heads-up.

It weren’t me… A second duty crew wrecked a bambilance last night returning home from Betsytown; bad enough they needed medical response for someone, but I know not who. I’ll get the juicy details sometime soon.

Lots of water everywhere today. The flooding is almost as bad as it was during the noreaster last month.

I am at work quietly seething with fury at my new boss who just-won’t-listen! :frowning: But I am a good soldier - at least til February!

I took LibbyCat to the vets last week does that count? She goes in her carrier OK well apart from the - I get the tail in a paw sneaks out I get the paw in a nose peaks out I put the nose in the tail is out again shenanigans. She doesn’t like the car but she doesn’t scream at me just meow…meow…meow…meow…meow the entire way there with an increase in volume every time. She does love the vet nurses though and turns into softy cat as soon as she is there. She was this tiny little scrap of a thing when I got her 2 years ago and now she is 11.5lbs of cat. She has no grace either and thunders round the house like a pet elephant and jumps on you in bed at full speed which will take the wind out of ya! Love her though and she has been good company for mrems since I have been gone.

Back to battling with a monster spreadsheet - 20000 lines of data - tyring to filter and pivot table the hell out of it so I can give my new boss meaningful data!

Blurflemmp.

Forgot to set my alarm and had to rush rush rush to make it here only 10 minutes late. I hate that! I’d rather have 20-30 minutes of wake up time while sipping coffee before I have to shower and dress.

Hugs and kisses to anyone who needs them. I hope all the sickies and owies get to feeling better fast!

Haven’t caught up on the MMP; it has been a tremendously blurfy week, but today is a day of infinite blurf. First serious snowfall of the season, which has some decent volume, but more importantly, is wet and blustery. Took me an hour to get to work today. (Normally it’s half that) The only potentially good part about the day is that it’s supposed to get a little warmer, which might mean some of this will melt and the OMGWTFISTHISSCARYWHITECRAP traffic may subsequently ease a bit. Of course, whatever melts may well freeze by tonight, so maybe not.

I still have my cold. It’s going away but the cough is irritating, especially when it keeps me up at night. That cough had help though when the fire alarm went off at 3:00am, due apparently to an “electrical problem.” And then again at 3:15AM. Same problem. GRRR. It reminded me a little too much of the Powerpuff Girls incident, only without any extremity-free superheroes to at least provide some sort of humorous non-sequitur to the wee hours.

I need boots. And a hat. And spring.

But at least it’s Hump Day. That much closer to the weekend. Woo!

Snow-slush day here, too. Winter! Yay!

It’s been a really tired week. Don’t know why. Hugs to (((Taters))) and (((((VorlonFamily))))). Someone explain to Gnat that it’s a tired day and everyone should just spend it napping and watching tv instead of tearing around at Mach 12.

Snow would be wonderful, because then it wouldnt be -10F outside. Even with the heater I think my car might not like this much. It’s supposed to warm up some by this weekend. It had better. I like cold, but not this cold!

Oh, and hugs and whatnot to all.

Slow middle of the week and already hating Dem Stillers more than I usually do. I get off work tomorrow around 6 and Heinz is halfway between work and home. Can’t avoid it driving and can’t avoid it on mass transit. And they are saying now freezing rain could come along at some point. Or snow. Or not. I would go pit weathermen in the winter but not enough motivation factor happening today to bother.

:frowning:

I’m waiting in line to get x-rays right now. I’m also being scheduled for physical therapy. Guess which ones of those my insurance will cover?

That’s right! NEITHER.

I think there’s a margarita somewhere with my name on it.

Um… because you’re pregnant?

:stuck_out_tongue:
{{Pie}} and {{Vorlon}}

We got quite a bit of snow here - I haven’t measured but they’re saying 7-8" - and now lots of wind so it’s all blowing around. I wanted to go out for a walk last night because the falling snow looked so pretty, but KT pointed out that 25 mph winds aren’t really conducive to a nice walk in the snow so I just huddled inside instead.

I often plan coworker lunches out at a restaurant somewhere but decided that with all the snow today would be a good “staying in” lunch day. So we’re all getting together for lunch at the cafeteria. If this goes well, I’m thinking of having a regular staying in lunch group. A lot of us aren’t from the area and don’t know all that many people outside of work so a social outlet at work is good. But going out to lunch all the time gets expensive, takes time which some people don’t have in the middle of the day, and isn’t all that much fun in the winter. So I’m going to see how much interest there is for social brown bag/cafeteria lunches.

Today’s our 3rd anniversary. I think we’re going to go out to dinner although that’s contingent upon the snow stopping and the roads being ok. Otherwise, snuggling at home is good too.

Aww CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!

My car won’t start! I doublechecked the plug I had the heater in…and it wasn’t working! No wonder! I had to hit a switch on it and I tested it with my cell charger and it is definitely working now. I have a ride to work, though I’ll be late. When I get home I’ll have to try it again to see if it’ll get going. Poor car. It’s 12 years old and has been very reliable. I hate freezing it like this.

I can’t wait for it to warm up and snow. I would much rather have snow than this sort of cold…it’s supposed to get to -11F tonight and then start warming up some after that. It had damned well better.
