Found out about the bambilance wreck. Three crew hurt, all with minor injuries. They T-boned a car that pulled out in front of them at a notoriously dangerous intersection.
Ah, but I’m theoretically in the full-of-energy trimester. I don’t really think it’s full of energy, it’s just that you no longer feel like you’ve got perma-flu, and anything feels better than that.
We went to the grocer store and Nat decided to have a fun walk in the freezing rain while looking for street grates so he could stand in the torrents of meltwater. He was very surprised and annoyed that he got wet. We have a fun winter full of chillblains and losing fingers to frostbite ahead of us.

Convalescence and recuperation progress apace, amidst the usual toddler-wrought mayhem. No freezing rain, thank Og, but plenty of muddy puddles to jump in all the same and not a single damn store in the whole frickin’ country sells wellies! :mad:
I have also come to the firm realisation (toddler activity notwithstanding) that I want another baby. Now I just need to convice my husband that he does too!

Spent most of the morning in meetings, which as we all know is my favouritest way to spend a workday. :rolleyes:
Also, it’s pouring rain outside. Ick. The only upside to the rain is that all the snow that dumped on us last night has melted, which means I won’t have to shovel.
Hope your car’s OK, snowbunny. It’s very rare that we see something as cold as -11F, but I’ve seen it often enough to know that it’s an inhumanely cold temperature and not pleasant at all for anything but polar bears and penguins. Brrrrrr.

Sis called me today. She won two five hunnert dollar visa gift cards. She got called by a local radio station because she had put her name in a drawing at the local Piggly Wiggly. She had to sing the Piggly Wiggly theme song. HEE! What? You wouldn’t do it???

We had almost a week last winter when the high didn’t get above 0F, snowbunny. I know what you mean! Those temperatures aren’t fun.
The car should be fine; it’s not that anything’s broken, it’s just that when it’s this cold it really messes with cars in various ways. I will see when I get home, I guess. If the outlet is working and the heater works then it should start up. I didn’t try too hard earlier because I didn’t want to damage it.
I like winter, but this is just too much.
Howdy all - I didn’t get a chance to post this am. At any rate, more hugs and healing vibes for the Vorlon family–your wife is in my thoughts and prayers.
I had an appt. with my endocrinologist today; he ordered another ultrasound of my thyroid, which still has very large nodules. I’ve also been on a higher dose of thyroid meds since September. Tomorrow I get to have the thyroid ultrasound, along with what is called a trans-vaginal ultrasound, which my gyn ordered. I know there are other women amongst the MMPers who know what that means … it’s an -internally- done ultrasound. I’ll let that speak for itself. :eek: And of course, I’m supposed to drink 32 oz. of water before. (TMI alert: I do NOT know how I’m going to keep from peeing on the table!:eek:)
At least I don’t have to go back to work until it’s Firday, right? Oh and SnowBunny, hugs to you, and to your Mom too - tell her I said hi!

There are a lot of parts of being pregnant that aren’t a whole lot of fun. I mostly don’t mind it, and there are parts I really like (baby moving around, excuse to eat entire cakes etc.) but it’s not like a great big party. Unfortunately.

And thanks for stealing my thunder - today is my 26th. **FCD **and I will celebrate on Friday at our new traditional place - the Japanese steak house in Wildewood Shopping Center. It is very yummerrific!
We did go out to eat tonight because I got stuck in a meeting till almost 4, getting me home at 4:30, leaving no time to thaw anything. We went to the Irish Pub down in Wildewood (is that a pattern??) and I had a really good shepherd’s pie. We started with some of the best calimari we’ve ever had - so tender!!
So now I’m home for an evening of vegging. My sewing machine will be delivered on Friday, and our floor lamp will *finally *get here on Monday. We ordered the doggone thing almost a month ago!
That’s all I’ve got. Off to read Dear Abby…
Herbs, you POOR thing. Yuck yuck yuck. I’ll take x-rays any old day over that.
Thanks for the pillow suggestion, rosie. I propped up my knee with a couple of regular pillows when I tried to take a nap this afternoon.

I took some aspirin when I got home from shopping tonight and I’m surprised (and glad) at how much it is helping, too. (I can’t take anti-inflammatory drugs anymore.)
