I’m here and I really didn’t sleep in. When I got up at 7 to take the dogs out, I noticed they’d already relieved themselves in the dining room and family room, so I got to drag out the carpet cleaner in the dark of the morning. Then I crawled back into bed to steal some of FCD’s body heat before we decided to fetch some breakfast.
Today, we’re going house hunting with daughter. There are several cute little cottages on Cobb Island - all under $100K. She got preliminary approval for up to $120K, but she wants to stay under 100 if at all possible. They’re all fixer-uppers, but I’m thinking we’re probably qualified to do that. I’m also looking closer to our house, altho there aren’t too many in her price range hereabouts. Anyway, I love house-shopping!
My feet still hurt, but not as much as last night. I slept really well and it’s a gorgeous day, so I’m feeling good!
**kopek **- the type of coaster doesn’t matter as long as it prevents water spots on the wood furniture.
That’s one thing with Pittsburgh - cheap real-estate in some pretty good hoods. Really expensive stuff in others, especially the suburbs - and some hoods I don’t go near without a few spare clips. But you can get nice places almost in walking distance of downtown well under 100k.
Sounds like we need a house huntin’ MMP pretty soon. Just sayin’…
Today after deheathenization, I made lunch (hamburger steak with 'shroom gravy, New N.O.T. in white sauce, green beans and rolls. NUM!), then we went to  Wally*World  and bought chawklit up to seventy-five percent off. SCORE!
Also, there was a massive buyin’ of green beans as only I could do it. Piggly Wiggly has cans of green beans three for a dollah, limit six. So, on the way to deheathenization (cause da Pig is on the way) we stopped and each of us bought six cans. After deheathenization on the way back to da cave, we stopped again and bought twelve more cans. About sixish I met OYKW at that paragon of fine dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner and afterwards made him go with me to buy yet another twelve cans of green beans. I think he was kinda embarrassed at goin’ to da Pig three times in one day but hey, we like green beans. Ok, some of the cans of green beans (six if you must know) got put in the food basket at the church house this mornin’ and another six cans were put with the stuff that will go into Thanksgiving baskets. The rest are mine all mine! Plus, I may go back tomorrow and buy another six cans. Trust me, they will get eaten.
Well, it’s All Saints, or if you prefer The Day After Halloween (two weeks ago we threatened a coworker with tossing him from the roof if he refered to All Saints like that again), or the day before Difuntos/Día de los Muertos, but that’s not what today’s MMP is about.
