Some mixed relationships do work. 
I didn’t make it to vote this afternoon. when I got home, it looked like a compost heap had exploded on my walkway and patio. :eek: They had used an air compressor to clean the gutters and didn’t sweep up after themselves. I gave maintenance a call. He told me he would be right over to take care of it, but by that time, the guy next door and I were both outside cleaning up. There’s always tomorrow, when I’m dressed like a normal grown up.

Every road was a parking lot tonight (prolly due to rain) so I got home ½ hour late. ‘Dinner’ was two slices of cheese & a Rice Krispie treat as I could grab them & literally eat ‘on-the-go’. I only was one or two minutes late to the event that I was supposed to video…only to find it was postponed until Tues because of the rain. :mad:
Spidey I believe there is a county ordinance that specifically forbids me to sing and dance outside. This is a very wise and just law, trust me.
On that note I believe I shall retire unto the boudoir for the night. I’m sleepified.

We lost power this evening, for over an hour. I had just logged in at irk, so I couldn’t irk. The land line doesn’t irk when the power is out and my cell phone is still screwed up. I’ve tried re-calibrating the battery but that isn’t working either.
So I took a nap. Then it took me a hour to wake up enough to go back to irk.

I forgot to buy Halloween candy. Maybe we’ll hit up the dollar store this weekend. If it’s warm enough to sit outside I’ll give out candy. If not, we’ll turn the lights out and hide inside. I’m not going to deal with a dog and a cat and opening the door all night. Eventually the dog will figure out something is going on and start barking, and the cat wants desperately to get out.
Several of the houses I looked at had vestibules, I wish this house did.

Sorry, been busy. A former co-worker is in town for a couple days and work is being interesting at the same time. Hugs to whoever needs them or just even wants and I’ll try to catch up this weekend.
I am so aggravated. Hubby gave me a Samsung tablet and all I want to do is buy a case for it. I don’t know what kind of tablet it is other than it is a Samsung. Finding out is a lot harder than one may think. I may give it back. I don’t need the aggravation.
My day off was lovely as it rained most of the day. We had not had any rain in a while so it was most welcome and makes for nice naps. I cleaned a little, did some laundry and cooked supper. Not much else though.
Back to the grindstone tomorrow.
I wish I could remember the brand of catnip mousies I found that Allie LOVES. They’re small, in mouse-type colors (off-white, gray, brown), and come in a package of six. Outer material is felt, and they have tails.
She also really likes chasing laser pointer dots.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 56 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 87 and N.O.S. for the day. Plus dry. Very dry. We are in need of rain big time and no rain in the forecast. Today I shall make a cake and make coleslaw for tomorrow night’s doin’s at da cave. Did I mention we’re havin’ folks over for and earlyish dindin tomorrow? We are. I shall make a white sheet cake with chawklit icin’. Tomorrow the <snerk> Butt! <snerk> will hang out in the slow cooker all day to finish cookin’ and then be shredded for bbq. BBQ sammiches, baked beans, slaw, and cake will be the menu. YUM! Cheeseburgers tonight at the request of OYKW, so I also need to make up burgers this mornin’.
I am pointedly ignorin’ all references to chawklit covered fart blossoms. Just so y’all kinow.
OK I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I suppose I should purtify up somewhat and begin the makeage of cake, slaw, and burgers. A couple loads of laundry are also on the chore list today.

It’s a cloudy 50 degrees outside, predicted to go all the way up to 60 today.
I was wrong about the cat not liking the jingle balls. He doesn’t like them in the afternoon or evening. I hadn’t realized they were middle-of-the-night-early-morning-chase-down-the-hallway-when-everyone-is-trying-to-sleep toys. Now I know.
Nettie - I know what mice you mean and I’ve ordered some from Amazon. I got some for Percy and he shredded them.
Not sure what I’m doing today. Sah-son has a math test and the plan is to go today, but he has until Sunday to take it. I’ll make meatballs sometime today since I bought more food than would fit in the freezer yesterday and I had to put the meatballs in the fridge. I could add some chicken breasts to the sauce for me. That sounds like a plan. It would be a better plan if I had some mozzarella to melt on top.

I’m making chili for the tailgate this afternoon.
Up and dressed and all. One of the things from work - found out the new guy I worked with for a while yesterday was the new site manager. Not a bad thing for me – I was helpful and nice and positive and everything. It just threw me that a new boss would come in “soft” considering every other one has been full Leadership from the time they walked in the front door. That could say a lot of good things about our new Number One ------ or not. Time will tell.
Visiting friend left us for his dream job managing and working on trails out in the NJ/PA/NY area. Its great to see him but fun to think Spidey may be benefiting from his current work.
