The SDMB staff has been debating some changes in the rules for the Pit, and it’s become apparent we have some philosophical differences. Accordingly, giraffe has resigned and fluiddruid has requested reassignment to the Game Room, which we’ve done. For the time being, the Pit will be moderated by me, Gfactor, and LynnBodoni. I hasten to say the resignation and reassignment request were voluntary and the discussion that preceded them was thoughtful; we were simply headed in different directions. Giraffe has been a a valued member of the SDMB community for many years; I hope he will remain so for many more, and am grateful for his long service as a mod. We’re still discussing the Pit rule changes and I hope to have more to say this week.
