Well, that storm was a fizzle. Boom boom and that was it. It rained but the big light and sound show went on around me. 
I’s sleepified but I wanna watch Earl and The Office. Provided they’re on that is. Mayhaps I should look up the teevee listings…

Woot! My weekend has arrived! I came home to find that my son cleaned my whole downstairs, to include the den. I didn’t ask him to, but what he wants in return is a hat he saw. Meh, it’s twenty odd bucks, it’s the least I can do in return.
I’ll be heading off to the Y very shortly. It’s a good thing too, because we’ve been sort of slacking in the workouts. I haven’t gained any weight, but I know tonight is gonna hurt.
It’s supposed get pretty darn cold at night around here. We’re talking 30s folks; 30s. That’s just a leeettle bit chilly. Daytime temps are supposed to be around the mid-fifties. I guess fall has really arrived.

So I was talking to a co worker this morning about my upcoming trip to see the kiddies (as opposed to kitties, but I’m sure I’ll see at least one of those as well) and of the weather, I said “the forec’end for the week’ast looks very good” But that’s because I hadn’t had any coffee yet.

At my prospectus meeting last week, one of my committee members said someone had done a thesis very similar to mine over the summer. She sent me her proof copy and I printed it out and read it. My copy is now all marked up and underscored and exclamation pointed because this is exactly what I needed to tie everything together.
I want to find this person and hug her. She just provided the bare outline of my introduction and transitions.

I’ve just returned from my workout at the Y. Yeah, it was a little rough in spots, but I pushed on through. Man, I did to myself, but it kind of sucks when I backslide with the workouts. It takes me a couple, few to get back in the groove again. I was good however, and hit all my machines, and then did about 40 minutes of cardio.
Yay on the whole thesis thing, Spaz.
**Pie, **it does count. Besides, by working out, you sped up your metabolism, so the calories you consumed will be burned more efficiently.
It’s currently 43 degrees and raining. I can definitely feel the chill in the air.

I has a complaint. Can’t watch hubu on grounds of being abroad. Dagnabit.
There’s also a place that lets you download webcomics and webnovels for free (in some cases you can still go to the original web and get the material page by page, but not always) and which does the same thing, “you’re abroad so you can’t get it.” I understand that for something like BBC’s viewer, where you can watch recent programs for a limited time, as after all the UK has a TV tax - “if you don’t pay the British TV Tax you can’t watch British TV” is simply being extended to their web services. Makes sense. But for free stuff? Why would it be a breach of copyright to offer US material that’s free in the US, for free to people in other places? (Not so much hubu as the webstuff site)
We’ve been on this project for six months. In a normal project (6-12 months per rollout), we’d be on Training. The system itself would be 90% ready, missing only final data loads; data loads would be getting tested and retested, the process would be in testing or already tested and approved, Train-the-Trainer would be starting or it would be finished (and End User Training would be starting). In this one, we’re still going through “Requirements,” which for a normal project would have been finished, uh… five months ago?
I need to decide whether I’m going to start looking for a nice xNTx Scotsman or something

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I need to go forage some brekkies and purtify shortly. It’s the last day for the old gig. Tonight I need to make a nanner puddin’ and a chocolate sheet cake. The cake is for a party tomorrow. I agreed to make the cake. Ok, it’s a cake mix and a simple chawklit frostin’ with peecans in it but it still counts as bakin’. The nanner puddin’ is for Sunday when folks come over for lunch. I’m doin’ a chicken and broccoli casserole, a green sallit, rolls and the puddin’. Simple easy yet nummy lunch! Thus, tonight, Pizza Hut (cause I have a coupon) is makin’ dindin.
Ok, guess I should go forage cause tummy is rumbly.

My ears are WORSE and not better. This stupid spendy drops that the Dr. gave me isn’t working. I’m calling the nurse today to see if the Dr. wants me to come in. I truly don’t think I can get through the weekend with pain like this. I feel like my ears are going to explode, and can hardly hear anything. The pain in the right ear is almost as bad as the left. I got maybe 3-4 hours of sleep last night.
Now that I whined all through my post, happy Friday!

Up early - I just can’t sleep in. But the critters have been tended to and I’ve showered and sorta dressed - undergarments and robe. I found the dogs’ shot records so they can go to the groomer’s today - yay. I’ll be leaving in just over 2 hours.
The kids moved into the basement last night - not everything, but enough that they could sleep there. I’m not sure if they’re going to shower downstairs or come up here. **FCD **got about half of the living room floored - with luck, we’ll finish it tonight. Daughter just came up - she did use the shower downstairs.
Anyway, lots of chores to get done today - we’ll see how I do. Currently caffeinating. I need breakfast.

So, this morning I drive by work on the way to the grocery store and I notice a piece of paper attached to one of my front windows. When I get here I see that it is an advertisement/flyer for the tattoo place one block down that they have taped to my window (note, it didn’t just catch a breeze and end up stuck here, someone deliberately put it there).EXCUSE ME? I don’t recall saying that they could take up my window space to advertise their business. It makes me wonder if the agreement is reciprocal and I should go down and plaster their door with my menus.:dubious:

I’m off today, thank Og. It’s either feast or famine at work, and this was definitely a feast week. Bwtween my project and the new kid I’m training…whew! Plus yesterday we lost two engineers. What a surprise! I knew the one guy wanted to go back to his former company so he must have gotten the deal they wouldn’t give him when he left. But the other one! I thought he was happy. What do I know. Should get interesting at work in the next couple of months.
Y’all remember that fight I had with my out-of-state friend? Where she decided to end the friendship? Well, she e-mailed me yesterday and apologized for snapping at me and ending the friendship. So I e-mailed her back and accepted her apology. Not much more was said, but I guess we’ll start corresponding again. I definitely won’t set myself up to meet with her and get stood up again! So I’m sorta taking her apology with a grain of salt, I guess. (What the hell does that mean, anyway? With a grain of salt. Hmm.)
I have a doctor appt this morning to get my Depo shot, and no other plans. I think I might go shopping and spend my free $15 birthday gift card from JC Penney - my birthday is in two weeks. I picked out some new cookware for my present! I’ve never had a new set of pots and pans, only hand-me-downs.
I might pick up a paint brush this afternoon, too. Maybe.
